Not going to be smug about this win for I just don't rate this France compared to the previous WC.

Deschamp's France was always pragmatic and calculative but this one is just stiff and almost hesitant in the way they play.

Individually they are no doubt better than us but I did say it won't make the difference given Spain is the only team who can make them uncomfortable and thats just what happened.

Deschamps has done well but they need someone new who can drive their team to use their actual talent.


Fabian has been the player of the tournament by far.

I also think Fabian has been the player of the tournament. Goalscorer always get more exposure though. Unlucky for him

It's crazy. There isn't a single player in this tournament where you think "we have to buy that player". Overall it's been quite dull honestly.

Young players have shown their quality like Yamal, Arda and Mamardhasvili (although he was already well known in LaLiga) probably Musiala too and some ok players have played well above their usual showings like Fabian, Curcurella, Gakpo but none you'd want at your team if we are being honest.

While the top top players have all flopped given what has been expected of them like Mbappe, Jude, KDB, Kane etc.

Hoping players get a good rest or they won't be able to handle the load next season

As for the final I still see England winning despite Spain being a considerably better team for Southgate's England just find any way to win be it luck, their individual brilliance or just experience in latter ends of tournaments.


And yes, England, not Netherlands. I dont rate this Netherlands at all as Koeman is a shit coach so not even giving the respect of giving them a chance.

If Koeman knocks out England with that average team it would be one of the more worst flops again for England... wouldnt be surprised, but dont think it will happen...
