Okay but they are so we aren't exactly saying anything controversial.
You'd be surprised how many people STILL support BLM in the US. Of course, Americans are mostly stupid. It's an undeniable fact.

I just read an amazing fact: Mbappe is not the top selling PSG jersey, it's Lee Kang-In.
Obviously Mbappe rumors probably prompted fans not to buy jersey of someone who is maybe leaving and Kang-In being Asian has a huge market, but still impressive.

New PSG kit is ugly. Most PSG/Mbappe fans already have a jersey or two of his... likely need to wait for nice kit or a new club.
Also, PSG stopped producing Mbappe kits this summer while the saga was going on. And it was actually hard to find him on the online store and his kit was taken out of physical stores. That's how close a transfer was. When Neymar was sold, it all changed.

Incredible game by Mbappe today. Did it all. He's becoming a playmaker as opposed to just taking the ball and attacking. He still attacks... but picks his spots. His passing has improved dramatically. His vision has improved dramatically.
Interesting to watch a player just always trying to evolve. Not sure I've seen anyone do this in their prime. Mostly, you see players develop new attributes when they get older.

Thought the relevance of it will always be questioned if he stays in France and waits for WC's to be relevant again.
Unless PSG becomes a regular competitor for the CL perhaps.

Euro and Olympics this summer. He's likely leaving France this summer too unless PSG wins CL.

Another double. He now has 12 goals in 12 games for PSG and 7 goals in 7 games for France NT. Total of 19 in 19.
If you look at the least 2 full seasons and this one... he has 72 goals in 85 games for club and country for a 0.85 ratio (43 assists too to boot). Insane. Haaland is likely just about the same. These two are just dominating.
The biggest thing again is (and he even said it himself), that he's becoming more of a playmaker and team player. His goals are coming from longer-range shots and actions where he's not just using his speed. Almost impossible to defend because his long-range shots have become lethal. What do you do? If you lay off, he can now shoot the shot or make the killer pass. If you play close, he'll dribble right past you.
It's a good omen for Madrid btw. He can literally play anywhere in the front line (very rarely goes right though as discussed). But he fits in with his other strikers and fullback to make them all better.
I bring Madrid in because a VERY well-informed media source in France with close connections to Madrid mentioned that Mbappe is the only one that Madrid is after and they are VERY confident.

Re: The new player-manager-director of football - Kylian Mbappe
Well you don't watch PSG games... so what would you know. He's playing very very differently. First off, he's trying to help Enrique and that system succeed. Second, he's also doing it highly effectively for France. Third, he's managing himself for the second half of the season given his desire to play both the Euro and Olympic games in the summer.
He mentioned that his style of play isn't the smartest given the increasing number of games he's asked to play. 60 games a season not counting exhibitions for club and country. Too much to maintain.

Hattrick today vs a scrub team, but good to see Enrique is pushing him n can see hes really improving... much needed since the league can be too easy n hes working hard n not taking things too easily... PSG has a lot of potential n hopefully they can keep improving n go far in the CL, too many failures over all these yrs...

Reims is not a scrub team fyi. They were 4th in Ligue 1 until this loss (now 5th). Not world beaters of course... but very hard to play. A lot of very physical players.
Good win for PSG. Reims were killing them in the first half despite losing 1-0.
What changed in the 2nd half? Took out the CF and put in a false 9 in Lee Kang-In.
Why did it work so well? PSG central defenders and goalkeeper are atrocious with pressure. Very poor with the ball at their feet. Teams just pressure the back 4 and flood the midfield... and PSG can't get out. BUT, if you have a forward that can help the midfield, PSG goes through this tactic like butter. That's why their best games were with Asensio as the false 9 and now Lee Kang-in.
Enrique made the adjustment.
@Bill - Soler at RB (of all things) has been a revelation and Fabian Ruiz has also played very well. Also, Asensio looked great before the injury. Enrique really knows how to get the best out of these players.

Nice video summarising n comparison of the 2 old n 2 new GOATS careers from the beginning... some things I didnt even about like Haaland earlier days were already insanely good. Also interestingly CR n even Messi peaking relatively late... in a way, it means almost makes one feel these careers can be bettered if one in the future comes along who would be lucky enough to peak early but sustain it through a long career n injury free Unlikely but possible?
Also makes one realize even more that Mbappe MUST move away from PSG ASAP... u just cant be the best player n not move to the best leagues/clubs still... being top scorer for 5 seasons in a row must get boring at some point?
2018–19 Kylian Mbappé France Paris Saint-Germain 33 29 1.14
2019–20 Wissam Ben Yedder France Monaco 18 26 0.69
Kylian Mbappé (2) France Paris Saint-Germain 18 20 0.9
2020–21 Kylian Mbappé (3) France Paris Saint-Germain 27 31 0.87
2021–22 Kylian Mbappé (4) France Paris Saint-Germain 28 35 0.8
2022–23 Kylian Mbappé (5) France Paris Saint-Germain 29 34 0.85
