Daniel Maldini on the bench? Is there a chance he becomes a third generation Maldini

Milan fans are really butthurt by Hakan's departure.

Not sure why since most of them didn't even like him in the first place.

This is an extremely chaotic match with Sampadoria, who could have equalized in a couple of instances because of our extremely high line.

For the record, I think Hakan is a loss for us (one that isn't yet covered, unlike Donnarumma).

Just now, Krunic misses an easy chance for a second.

We are hoofing the ball too much.

Treating Calabria like he has the height of Ibrahimovitch.

Calabria is literally playing everywhere.

He was just literally playing like a center forward for a bit. I don't understand this tactic.

He played a handful of minutes last season. Can't say if he will be anything special.

Samp has a good team, I expect them to have a solid season. The match could go either way.

It's an even match so far.

On D. Maldini, I think we are not a good environment for developing talent (although, to be fair, both our full back were tempered well by the fire of the pitch).

Not a good match despite the win.

There isn't any intelligent build-up to the play other than giving it to Calabria and overloading the right flank.

We couldn't get one good ball to Theo or Giroud, and our best chances were half-chances at best. The first match in the season and all, but not very encouraging signs other than the continuous development of Calabria.

seriously Donnarumma, Hakimi, Lukaku , CR7 lost together in same  session is the tomb for Serie A

PL always richer, Ligue One signs Messi, Liga loses Messi but gets Mbappe, Serie A loses main campioni of last year

Then personally I am not a " Serie A fan" , just " my club" fan, so it hurts me just my two losses ( Lukaku and Hakimi), but objectively the darkest transfer summer for years

or  given that Juve and Inter 've lost CR7 and Lukaku, the most impactful CFs, is that Milan finished 2nd last year :coffee:

Donnarumma is next Buffon but Maignan is very good apparently, so they should suffer less the loss (
beyond the fact that GK is less impactful than a CF)

No excuses for them ?

Anyway no one never takes seriously Atalanta for scudetto, eternally underrated ( and they love it, living without pressure) , because we feel that they' d bottle it sooner or later etc

otherwise Atalanta have all the credentials for being rated as favorite.

Great team for Serie A, same group, same manager, great depth , yes they 've lost Romero but Demiral is legit for them, and anyway they've even improved the team

They signed Musso as GK who'd play in every Serie A big team

They are also close to sign Koopmeiners from AZ Alkmarr, great talent

I don't get the lack of concern on the state of the league from fans of clubs in the league.

Clearly, the league doing well gives more chances for your club winning the more important trophies while actually playing in a competitive and cool to watch league.

Just when it looked up for the league, Inter went and imploded, and Milan gets theost difficult CL group Laughing

Its covid, everyone is broke except the PL and PSG.

Inter is particularly broke which we enjoy, we are losing Ronaldo which our rivals enjoy, nothing weird to understand.

Next summer things will start to return to normality with stadiums half-full this season.

I had Atalanta finishing second before the Ronaldo saga, might have them first now. They always start slow and drop too many points at the start of the season. This time the beat Torino while being completely unconvincing, lets see if they string these ugly wins in September that they would usually lose and become legitimate contenders.

milan barely scraped past samp ... LS is right one that. the only goal came from mistake from sampdoria fullback that calabria then stole the ball and laid for diaz to finish.

meanwhile maignan had to made 2-3 deceive saves. scary times lies ahead

feels they are just one or two superstar players away from winning scudetto. i dont mean any disregard towards zapata or lllicic not being one but every team like juventus or inter has few.

that is the difference.

Koopmeiners has personal agreement but AZ Alkmarr was asking close to 30m that they were not willing to match. they started going for secondary targets like Tommaso Pobega of milan but milan didnt want him gone permanently.

i dont think he is a lost cause of atalanta yet . i agree very good player has great long range passes can play CB, DM deep lying playmaker versatile player

i dont think most of milan fans are hurt. fans waited more than 3 seasons for him to perform and he only turned up 6 months towards his last season. his salary request was astronomical in the space of less than a year from 3.5 million to 6 million.

if inter benefits there is no regrets he had expectations he didnt fulfill for 4 seasons which he seems to have done for inter in 1 game and if he does become successful good for inter good for him. these things happen

milan wanted players who are commited to the cause and hakan had different agenda which milan respected

im super impressed by ausilio and marotta though. they literally have to secure upto 250 million in less time and they have made smart moves with salary cuts while selling lukaku but appropriately replacing him with dzeko and they even have correa and dumfries.

its incredible business. Premier league basically has global english audience. Serie a meanwhile still questions foreign overtakes and politics doesnt help.

though liking serie a recent stance on investing on young talents
