Because he 's still a contract under us till to 2021. We've sacked him this summer for signing Conte
Spalletti demands a severance pay for going to Milan. We want to give him just a small part

Oh my god if Inter denies Spalletti to Milan and they end up with Pioli

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
It'd be no sense
When we 've sacked De Boer for Pioli it was a legit move, because De Boer was a foreign scrub who hadn't even adapted to the league. Hard to change situation on this basis.
At same time you were signing a proven coach for league that came from a very good Lazio experience, and Lazio was exactly the target that we hope to reach.
Giampaolo for Pioli doesn' make sense, you change a provinciale manager for another provinciale manager ( after a win too), and Pioli has accumulated 2 sacks in the meantime, he's even lost that "status" which earned in 2016
So it'd be strange...

Bullet dodged by Spalletti, it's better to wait for another club and keep his legit coach status.
Just take a look at the squad. Even a fine tactician like Allegri could only hope for an EL spot.

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Pioli is an incredible underwhelming appointment. No sense to sack Giampaolo for him.
EDF and Samp just split. Horrible start of the season for them. EDF is a gamble but a much better gamble than Pioli. He has only 1 bad season in Serie A while having done miracles with Sassuolo and getting Roma to the CL semis.

Yes, but Spalletti has a chip on his shoulder towards Inter and so he dreams the revenge, proving we were wrong to sack him. But at same time he demands the whole money from us. You can't have your cake and eat it too , not always at least.

How come the contract is still valid if you sacked him ?

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Its always like that. When you sack managers you gave to pay off the rest of the contract, or the agreed fee. You cant just unilaterally break contract otherwise.
So you pay them off to set them free. Usually clubs prefer that coaches find a new job right away so they dont have to pay the full length of the contract. At that point its up to club and coach to negotiate.

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Inter actually does him a favor. It's illogic enough that a severance fee (based on the amount of years remaining) is not mandatory in the contracts.

Wow. Ronaldo's all round play just keeps improving. If his footballing IQ was this good while he was at his physical prime he would be the GOAT.

Iirc coaches cant coach two clubs in a serie a season. So Giampaolo and Di Francesco are ruled out until next summer.

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
now pioli is the one who is likely going to be signed by Milan rather than Spaletti...
no matter who our coach is next, Milan problem is bigger than coaches and mainly lies in the quality of players on disposal and frankly it would be tall order for anyone who comes in to reach whatever goals directors have set
if anything if maldini, boban, massara is looking for milan to finish top 4 then they are misguided ....
at this point it is all about damage limitation and just get the team play the best football possible with players we have ...
giampaolo still has to go though ... it hasn't worked well for him

indeed... i started to notice him making that huge impact now, if any player i would fear most it would be him ... i think inter are not far away from being the team they were in 2010... and brozovic is one of that key player in this inter

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Brozovic 2015 - 2017 = inconsistent. In fact a good number of Inter fans would have sold him
Brozovic 2017 - 2019 = great player. Basically our most improved player

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Oh, ffs, Sensi is the most overrated player in Serie A. He's creative, but his technique is only decent and he's very limited athletically: small, weak and slow af. The 60 seconds prior to Finland's penalty were a perfect display of his weaknesses. Inter should go all in on Eriksen this summer.
As for Milan, make up your mind about what you want to do: growing a team or getting the 4th place at all costs. If it's the former, then let Giampaolo work without pressure, so he doesn't have to bench Bennacer for giving up two penalties, even if he had played a good match otherwise. If it's the latter, then there are more pragmatic coaches out there.

So, after the defeat against Ajax, Inter ultras trolled Juve with a banner that said "oops... you did it again." The favor was returned yesterday:

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
So looks like Pioli a choice for Milan and definitely is incoming.
We have officially now become a true mid-table club.
If I supported Sassuolo or Fiorentina I would be over the moon as he is a GOOD tactician but not a man for a club with our ambitions.
Speaking of now I begin to question even those.

& Pioli will be the second Inter supporter in a row to take the helm for Milan.
I'm onto something here and will need Harmonica's assistance for this conspiracy.

Re: Calcio Saga 19/20
Reality is : Milan are 3 years behind this Inter.
Gattuso: Mancini = Giampaolo : De Boer = Pioli : Pioli
Everything is at its place, so it means Spalletti will be Milan coach in June 2020.
