Re: The 2021/22 Season
That stings but it would be cosmic comedy to win the last two and qualify anyway.
We'll see. If we deserve it, we'll get it.

Lethargic and aimless football. Not getting signings in during the January transfer window hurt us.
Europa League is good for this team to grow, but its the signings that are going to be impacted

another dud from our supposed #10 saviour Odegaard... i know i might be in the minority here, but we should have never moved ESR away from that position when he broke out vs Chelsea in December 2020. Now we are sitting with a real conundrum about where his best position is. And a one dimensional dude that only goes on purple patches for 5 game stretches here and there for a #10.
Martinelli hasn't improved his final ball one bit this entire season. The raw talent is there, and i'm just waiting for him to explode at any moment. But how much longer are we going to have to wait? Is it ever gunna come?
We would be a proper midtable team without Saka and Smith Rowe's goals this season.
And lastly, the board showed their total lack on inadequacy again when they prematurely gave Arteta a new contract after the Chelsea and United wins thinking we sealed CL football.

Re: The 2021/22 Season
Giving Arteta a contract makes sense, but next season is hella important. The signings that we make need to be impactful and a hell lot better than what we have.
Back up right back, 2 new midfielders, 1 winger and 1 (if not 2) amazing top quality goal guaranteed striker is crucial. This team was thin and I knew it was going to come and bite us in the ass.
Honestly if you told me we would make it into the top 5 after the start we had, I would have been okay with it.

yea but we needed the CL money to make all those signings. Now we probably only get two of those players, and yes, a clinical striker has to be the main priority.

Arsenal died after Wenger tbh
Don't feel pain anymore after anything major. Looking forward to weekends without football again

I wonder how far down the top quality goal guaranteed striker or any other position list you have to be to decide AFC is a good choice these days.

Arsenal were dying towards the end of Wenger's tenure. The board should have let Wenger go after we missed out on top 4. We could have easily gotten Klopp but Kronke was too much of a coward

I would've loved it if you guys were to sell him to Man City. Unfortunately, we don't possess the power to influence that into happening. In an ideal world, I'd be able to witness the chaos of Goallegacy dictating who clubs buy and sell. That would've definitely ignited my love for football again
Pep was a big fan of Ødegaard before he opted to go to Real Madrid. I'm sure the interest is still there. I don't think Martin is the type to join a rival club, but I imagine he would've thrived under Pep's system.

Re: The 2021/22 Season
the old school number 10 position is dying out, and Odegaard is exactly that type of player. I doubt the guy has the motor in him after all the injuries to make it in a Pep team.
Arteta might have to re-think his system going forward.
