Re: LFC Season 2021-22
Thanks Ifty for keeping the section alive.
Looking forward to the two games across the next two days. Seems VVD and Gomez won't make it until September but having all of them fit for now along with Keita and Ox makes me look forward to the options we will have after last season.

Real good preseason, all the lads looked sharp and hungry.
Should we loan Suarez for the Norwich game???

Robertson and Jones the only casualties from a hardcore pre season. Jones should be back in 2 weeks but Robbo has no announced timeline from the club announced so applying LFC injury tax that applies when no timeline mentioned, he should be gone for 3 months i guess.

Re: LFC Season 2021-22
Ifty, we should have signed Suarez last season only. We missed on that.
Although there are no new signings apart from Konate, I think we should fare better this season compared to the last one. Doesn't matter if we win anything, I am sure that LFC will make it interesting and dramatic as always towards the end of the season.

Shaq and Woodburn gone, not many surprises how this has panned out. Chelsea game at home next is a huge statement opportunity.
I personally think Matip who imo has been crazy like always ( honestly when have we ever called him out in a game), huge game for VVD against Lukayku.

Hi Duronto! Doing great, glad you are still around!
Yes, both excited and nervous to see how the same 11 does in comparison to those new rival starting 11s. I trust Klopp with my life though so I am just gonna roll with it.

Sickening injury, took all the joy out of the win. Was a enjoyable game too.

Yup, losing player through contact injuries per game right now. Hope it gets better. Thiago is a big loss, no idea how we will control games without him.

That's 5 goals from the last 2 from Trent and Matip's side. I think its time to bring back Go Homez and KoNATphllipese. Need to manage Matip. Unlike left side, we recover but the moment some is rinsed on the right side, its do or die.

Re: LFC Season 2021-22
Great result last night though we were a bit rusty while Porto weren't full strength (otherwise we would have won 5-0 or 4-1).
Don't know what's the biggest positive to take from the game:
The Curtis Jones Show, or
Robertson showing middle-finger to his doubters

What a response, I would have love be there with Klopp blasting our brains off for the first 45 mins. Anyways Thiago is back so it's all good for our midfield now

It’s not the goals
It’s not the sharpness
It’s his exalted face that gives me the greatest pleasure. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

FFS playing United when they are down hence draw/loss incoming. Where is our midfield god Thiago, when will Klopp stop lying to us about injury durations, its crazy how we give him the pass here.

Re: LFC Season 2021-22
2 AM and the game wasn’t even on TV. I was following live updates from BBC, TIA, and my beloved TAN. Couldn’t believe we were trailing 0-2 within 15 minutes. What’s that feeling when you are a simmering pot of disbelief, sadness, anger, and all that sprinkled with defiance and hope? Then Ox scored and I was like; Yeah bitches, the comeback is on. But they made it 1-3 and by HT it was more of hope than belief.
Someone shared a streaming link and I was able to watch the rest of the game; thanks, pal. The HT substitutions lifted our game and my spirit; and at 2-3, I was like a restless Chihuahua with just one thing on my mind, can we make it? Ox definitely didn’t do me any favors by blasting those shots into the infinity. Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock, and my heart was sinking with every passing second.
And then, it happened. Takumi ghosted away from two defenders, softly chesting the ball from a lovely Milner cross and firing the most exquisite volley you will ever see.
