It is completely bizarre to me why Rodri is in this City team week in week out. Why does Pep play him? Can't he see he isn't a fit to his football at all?

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
This current City board have wasted so much money on meh players. Pellegrini and Mancini made far better signings. If anything, City's backbone has been the players those two signed.
Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
Well done to West Ham. Very good defensive performance.
City are out of ideas. This season will be like Pep's first. And it will be his last, for sure.

I’m gonna be honest, Mahrez is really disappointing me. Waste of talent. Should be and can be doing much more. He’s lost some pace and he can’t beat his man 1v1. This was the case for Algeria earlier last week too

Agreed with Hans, Ive been saying that for months. I guess its a Pep thing, once he loves someone he would do everything do accomodate him, even dropping the likes of Gundujon, Bernardo, Fernandinho, etc and adjust his team in order to do so. Rodri is ok defensively and as a simple ball player, but nothing special.

HUGE game for both managers
Wish they both could lose but i think a draw would be the 2nd best result

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
Heard Bruno asked Ole to pick Mata. Both did have decent chemistry against Newcastle. But not sure against a team as strong as Chelski, uncle Mata is going to cut it. Might turn out to be a blunder, the decision.

Must win for Lampard
Football on display is just so uninspiring and poor
Conte has done lasting damage with his 3-4-3 title win
every of these scrub manager who's in over his head now, like Ole or Lampard, tries to emulate a poverty version of it, with the result that there's no midfield play and no fluidity
to think that this is a game where prime Mourinho and SAF battled each other
will I have to watch fucking BVB Schalke?! blergh

BVB vs Schalke has been a poor match, so far. Sancho’s constantly losing the ball or firing long shots into the stands, and they struggle to keep possession, even without his wastefulness. Schalke are playing high pressure and fouling all over the place.

Yeah I expected it to be like that. This derby is the only thing Schalke have left, so they'll try their utmost to destroy the game and not get outplayed. They have no quality otherwise.
BVB meanwhile are just meh.

Have to agree with that. Lucky to be not given penalty there. But we have been the better side overeall eventhough it pains me to see Ole resorting to kick and run counter attacking football at home.

still better than Lampard approach which is to set his team up to kick and run, but then not actually kick it but slow it down clumsily at the back while the attackers make the run in vain

Re: 2020/21 Premier League Discussion
wow
proper shit on a stick stuff
so much distance in that Chelsea team, from defense to midfield, and especially from midfield to attack
they get no connection, no possession, they don't even get in positions to win second balls, like this
they need to fucking push up a bit
