I think Pedri is the bigger talent but I am not completely counting out Puig yet. Pedri is more an AM while Puig is more a CM who likes to get on the ball and dictate. Challenge is he is too light. He needs to work on his physique. Dont agree that he is not creative. I think he is plenty creative. If he can put on 10 pounds of muscle, I reckon he can at least be a good squad player.

I don't see where he goes from here, totally get why Koeman gives 90% minutes to Pedri and 10% to Puig, they're on a different lvl quite clearly

i can see him being a Roberto type guy who sticks around but never really breaks through.

In fact Ilaix Moriba impressed me way more in 1 game than Puig ever did

Yea glad this game showed so clearly just how bad Firpo is lol. As soon as Alba came on and its assists and goals. Firpo had all game in similar positions on the left all alone to place a simple pass to a teammate in the box to convert, which he couldnt even do as a so called attacking LB.

Thought I read somewhere we were gonna sell him in Jan for some much needed cash, but nothings come of it Sad

Mingueza with a dismal performance in defense. Positionally very suspect as he keeps going inside to cover his man and then gets torn open by the pass inside out. Partly at fault for the goal. But, could see his desire to make up for it and did with the assist.
I would persist with him as a squad option. He may never be first team material but could be good enough as a 15th man in the squad. 4th coice CB and 3rd choice RB. His attitude is highly commendable as unlike others who have let us down in consecutive CL humiliations; Mingueza has a fighting spirit.

Mingueza is totally misplaced at RB, he was decent at CB but he was never a fullback.

Injuries pile up. Dropping like flies at the moment.
The defending was comical,especially by Mingueza. He is clearly learning on the job at RB. Kept getting taken to the cleaners. I still like him as he is very good offensively and more importantly has a tremendous attitude. He is a fighter whose head doesnt drop when the going gets tough.
Unlike mental midgets like Messi, Alba and Busquets; much rather a Mingueza.
Mats also didnt have a good game. He just doesnt command his box and I am starting to rethink my opinion of him. He knows we are weak in the air. He has to command the 6 yard box at the very least. Should have come out to claim the ball for the second goal. Instead he acts too scared on crosses and he is one of the main reasons we are poor on crosses and teams target us. Either he learns to become good on set pieces by commanding his box more or we reevaluate the GK position.
Feel good for Trincao. A game winner should do his confidence a world of good.

Anyway, only wanna say again is Im not understanding this Mingueza ahead of Dest by Koeman... it better for not too long more. I just wanna watch Dest ffs, who is a real RB, and a very promoising one. Mingueza is ok, but just not a real Barca RB that needs to offer a lot more going forward.
