Griezman and Coutinho are covering a lot of ground. Don't know how sustainable it is given the tight schedule. Loved the first two goals. Both plays where we would historcally have tried to bring Messi into the play. Second goal the classic example. Messi behind the play on a counter as always. Thankfully, Coutinho ignored him and we score a goal. Things changed after the second goal and it became more our normal football.

Some things never change. Hanging in the center cirlce. Leaving us exposed to counters. Players being blind to other better passing options because this guy is standing at the center circle.

The difference between Pjanic and Busquets is night and day. One recovers the ball and the other only loses it.

Great debut for Koemannder, promising signs.

Still not worst player on the pitch, that one surely goes to Busquets. Absolute horrorshow in midfield, Pjanic takes the starting spot eaaasily.

Surprisingly Alba MOTM. Vintage alba that was. Coutinho was good too. There is something to look forward to.

Im not gonna read too much into it since it still so early, also Villarreal is one of those teams that are good but somehow struggle vs us, compared with a lot of weaker teams that actually trouble us much more. This game they were so slow and didnt seem to really try hard enough?

Anyway, cant complain about the result and performance obviously. At one point though Alba was bending over an ad board catching his breath exhausted lol, doubt he can do this consistently unfortunately.

Good start...thats it...Villareal was pretty average....They could not test us well.... Looking forward to the next game....should be much tougher than this...

very poor performance by Busquets. useless running by Griezman as if he is Box to Box runner. De Jong was also quite shaky.....

I would put Trincão instead of Griezmann and you'd hope this Dest guy would retire Roberto in a few weeks.

On a bad day he makes me want to throw my TV out of the window.

Him and Barcelona are like chalk and cheese. He is a one-trick pony and will never adapt to the this style. I would take Isaac Cuenca over him.
