Re: Lionel Messi Transfer Speculation
Gabriel Jesus is a scrub lol
Silva is legit but yeah, that's more like 200 million

Re: Lionel Messi Transfer Speculation
Why are people saying Messi wants give Barca money back for his transfer? Isn't he trying to activate his "leave for free" clause?

Just clueless people. That narrative being spun literally makes 0 sense based on how Messi's gone about this, lol.

PSG Sporting Director Leonardo called Jorge Messi to confirm the Ligue 1 club wanted to sign his son this summer - Lionel Messi's father told the Brazilian that his son has chosen to join Manchester City, according to L'Équipe. https://t.co/6LAPaeBjPz

I think he is afraid of the challenge. Having spent his whole life at one club, I don't think he would want to go anywhere other than to City because of Pep or back to Argentina if it wasn't for safety reasons. Otherwise he's definitely staying.

Re: Lionel Messi Transfer Speculation
After enjoying seeing the Arab state money not bear fruition at both City and PSG, I’m enjoying seeing them spend a fortune on a 34 year old. Messi will not have any better luck than 35 year old Ronaldo in achieving a CL championship. I don’t think the addition of Messi makes them anything to fear. They would be better off, improving their defense. This endless pursuit of signing offensive star players rather than putting together a proper team has been proven over and over to be a failure.

City need one more commanding CB, and an improvement to Rodri to have a team to win the CL if they get Messi

Have we not talked on and on about how terrible City are at finishing their chances, though? That's something that Messi certainly brings to the table. In order to move to the next level City need a top CB and a top FW (ie a KILLER TM). This covers half of that. I think it makes a lot of sporting sense.

Bartomeu won't negotiate for the sale of Lionel Messi. He refers to the Argentine's 700 million euros release clause. [rac1]

Yeah the same way he’s been destroyed when he’s played PL teams in the CL...
Really hopes he goes to the PL so this nonsense can finally be put to bed.

No need to justify the best player ever, current Ballon d'Or holder and easily the best player in the world, bringing something to the table lmao.BarrileteCosmico wrote:futbol_bill wrote:After enjoying seeing the Arab state money not bear fruition at both City and PSG, I’m enjoying seeing them spend a fortune on a 34 year old. Fairly sure the 9 goals against Arsenal is still the CL record against single team.RealGunner wrote:he will get destroyed in the PL

People are forgetting, that to this point Messi has played against referees, Spanish referees in Spain and Uefadrid owned refs in CL. How ever will he cope with 11 vs 11?

A bit embarrassing for Messi to leave his club on a trophy less season with the most embarrassing defeat in club history
