Liverpool the totally unexpected heroes
Good luck to Arthur and good riddance. Wikipedia page still describe him as a player whose "style of play, very technical, reminds of Xavi Hernandez" reality is far from that, but maybe in England he'll give an ounce of effort
I read rumors on Zakaria and wtf. Give this guy a chance, if we sell him we go back where we started from in midfield, with nobody really up to the defensive task.

Zakaria is better to keep than McKennie but that's not saying much. Should be sold if a good offer comes.
The team looks better, still a work in progress but there were some good moves.
Excited about Miretti and hope to see Fagioli soon. One of the bright spots of these first matches.

Okay so how bad is Arthur, we just need a 7/10 performance and no defensive mistakes so see us through this crisis, nothing special.

His main role was regista which is a DM who organize the play. But he is terrible at it
If you need sideways passes, he's your guy. Defensively doesn't work hard, doesn't go for the tackles and rarely intercepts. Basically a player totally useless.

Why do you want to get rid of Zakaria?

Too many midfielders on our books and he hasn't quite worked out thus far but I agree, we should given him another year atleast.
But I guess this is what you can expect from a team that has been run poorly since the last 3 years.

Well Arthur is done, whether this was panic or whether this was Klopp's 6th choice midfielder, we will see.
I do want to ask the Old ladies though about their previous thoughts on Kulusevski and Bentacur and Cancelo when you sold/loaned them.

Vlahovic becoming the free-kick taker that he has shown is the most random and unexpected asset that I bet no one expected in him. He doesn't seem to have that nuanced skill that an FK requires and its rare to see that in a CF.
No doubt Mihajlovic has some hand on it for he even takes it like him.
Can be huge given Dybala is not there anymore. Adds a lot to his value in a so far great season.

Kulusevski could not do anything right he was like a robot. Bentancur could not do anything right, had 4 good months under Sarri, was crap for the other 50 months he spent here. I suppose you ask because they do well at Spurs ? (i don't really follow PL)
If yes i would point out the Conte effect to explain. Allegri is cerebral he tries to adapt to his players strengths and they had none so they were useless. While Conte is so demanding the players have no choice but to reinvent themselves if they want minutes.
Cancelo is rated by many and thrives at City, me i disliked him as Juve player. If you choose to play as defender your first job is to defend, the rest is just extra. Then i think playing under Pep is perfect for him.

Thank you for your honest response, does that give any hope for Arthur as a desperate Liverpool fan asking? Considering the 3, I asked about the current PL stars now from Juventus, were they in similar situations on the pitch and not beyond it because Melo takes the cake there.

Arthur was poor for Barca too tho, he's been poor most/all of his career in Europe. Hard to imagine him rising to the occasion on a cold night in Liverpool tbh.

His technique is ridiculous. Power and placement in a single shot, you don't see that very often.

A real 80m or an inflated PL 80m ? Anyways Kulu was really good at Parma maybe just went back to developing. Nothing interesting happened at Juve between 2019-2022 and i hope it stops right now.
So our scrubs could be decent players i would not be surprised. Except for Arthur and Rabiot whom i believe they are lost cases everywhere. Even for a friendly in my neighborhood park i don't want them in my team. Rather have a gritty 40 year old construction worker instead, anybody can pass sideways in midfield.

I think actually, it's very interesting and whether the issue is the play style of the team or whether it's the league in general. On paper Juventus beyond 2017 has not had a proper a European season being knocked out by CL group scrubs, I wait to be corrected by that. What I do ask is the fact the that their sold players, those guys are top notch in their leagues doing well. Purely a question with us signing Arthur and that is why I asked about Kuku, Benta and Cancelo.

Arthur was good for a period at Barca actually, showed his potential n scored had a few good games, but his problem is extremely poor stamina n just physically slow. Still remember those rumours of him spending too much time with hookers n getting STDs or something XD

Bentancur was, and still is, a scrub. He is just micromanaged by Conte to play a role. He can run, tackled, and make short passes. Wasn't the worst player for us, but he is a liability if you expect more than that from him, which we did.
Kulusevski is different. He had excellent vision and a hilariously but effective ball control. He lived on the edge of always falling down while dribbling yet somehow managed to keep the ball. His problem at Juve was that of fit. Wrong moment for him, would do better this season than last given the system. Also in Italy playing for Juve means you playing without space. He thrived with space at Parma and in the PL he has more. He was sold because we could get Vlahovic, simple as that. The talent was there and I'm happy he is succeeding now.
Enough things said about Cancelo already. Perfect player for Pep, not for Allegri. That transfer worked out for all 4 parties involved.
Arthur is the answer to the question "can you be a footballer if you only have 1 skill?". Which in his case is press resistance. Extremely incomplete profile. He can make short passes and keep the ball very well, better than any of our mids. The problem is that he has no stamina and no pace.

Too many midfielders. The current management is trying to fix a couple of years of mistakes. One of them is the midfield. Now we have, without Zakaria, 7 midfielders.
Bit of a shame since he wasn't the worst one. But that also makes him easier to move than McKennie.
Still he additions of Pogba, Paredes, Miretti and Fagioli all look better than him these last 6 months. Let's see how it works out.
Only problem I see with this is that Zakaria leaving makes Rabiot our only other defensive midfielder. Maybe Paredes also helps here.

Rabiot extends for 1 year. At this point why not tbh he was good enough last season to consider him the most stable element in the midfield. Still don't trust him on long term but he will help the transition into a better squad and worst case scenario he just leaves for free in 2024.
There is a lot of work to do this summer. What about Giuntoli appointed as new GM, i read rumors the other day and got hyped. Did a great job at Napoli for years, they were always competitive and found gem players.

Cristiano Giuntoli è con noi!
— JuventusFC (@juventusfc) July 7, 2023
Giuntoli è il nostro nuovo Football Director. Benvenuto!
Forza Juve !!
Did not even know Giuntoli until like 1-2 years ago. Perhaps in Italy he is more famous, anyways as far as i can tell he's underrated and he's the closest we got to a competent GM since Beppe. Paratici was just a big spender, then Cherubini and Ferrari guy cleaned a bit of the dross i respect them for it, but i think they were good administrators more than good squad builders.
Hiring someone who has eye for talent is definitely not gonna hurt us. Working under ADL is not the easiest job and Giuntoli delivered. I bet we'll be back into european relevancy in 2 years max.

Guintoli is a top tier GM.
Juve decline has a massive connection to Marrotta leaving for Inter, any success we've had since I credit to him mostly.

Beppe is the GOAT. He is dearly missed
Still to this day i am convinced signing CR was not his decision, otherwise why resign right after. Agnelli tried too hard to reinvent Juve and we are caught in a downward spiral ever since.
