Pepe with a goal and a assist
I beared another 72 mins of Willian albiet with a few less hairs now as I pulled them out alot. This team cannot play against a good press. Anyone who wants to beat us should start pressing us with 6 men. We will give up possession and concede atleast 50% of the times.

Re: The 20/21 Season
50m for Partey could very well be one of the worst transfers we have made but let's give him more time. Doesn't look good though so far.
1st half was an absolute shit show. Prague were awful. I mean even Emery's Arsenal would have would 5 past them. Yet we went into the game with ONE recognised goal scorer Just disgusting

Re: The 20/21 Season
If there is one thing that is a huge blight on Arteta's managerial style is his substitutions. You know that Willian and Elneny will come on and they will be mediocre or just non existent during the game, yet they keep coming on.
Also, we give Emery crap, but at least he had the balls to put on young players into the squad, while Arteta will definitely play more cowardly options. There was no need to bring Elneny on, give Azeez or a young player a run out.

Re: The 20/21 Season
This team is such a mystery.
Last night I saw players moving off the ball, swapping positions, linking-up, pressing together, taking risks, and generally controlling a game from start to finish. Where was all that against Slavia?
Long-term obviously Xhaka at left back and Ceballos as an unorthodox left midfielder isn't viable but this funky set-up really confused Sheffield United.
Now watch us revert to shiftiness in the second leg on Thursday.

Re: The 20/21 Season
Slavia honestly weren't that better than SHU but we approached the game like we were playing Atletico Madrid.
Should have put 4-5 against Slavia and end the game.

Just gotta win 1-0. How hard can it be.

Re: The 20/21 Season
Emery and Francis Coquelin. What a night it's going to be.
They're a tough nut to crack. Lots of clean sheets in Europe and only 6 defeats in La Liga. Offensively they're nothing to write home about, but they've got Gerard Moreno who has scored 25 goals this season. And Emery's teams can be surprisingly efficient in this competition, as we all know.

Re: The 20/21 Season
As always, it depends on which Arsenal turn up.
Domestically, the schedule eases up before and around the tie: Fulham (H), Everton (H), Villareal (A), Newcastle (A), Villareal (H). It presents a good chance for Arsenal to finally put a run together.
Then it's West Brom (H), Chelsea (A), Palace (A) and Brighton (H) to end the season, which again, you're looking at 9/12 points at least.
We could rise to the giddy heights of 7th by the end of the season. Depending on who wins what, 7th could be a Europa Conference League spot.
So there you go. We could be in the CL next season, or the new third tier competition. Or neither, if it all goes horribly wrong again.

Re: The 20/21 Season
Arsenal will play a friendly vs Rangers on July 17th to mark Rangers' 150th year.
The timing of the announcement is funny because Rangers were very pleased we beat Slavia after the racism thing.
A Slavia player was found to be racist against Glen Kamara, a former Arsenal youth player (and Southend academy player). You might have seen the Arsenal players take a knee before kick-off last night, which is something the players specifically wanted to do (since it's not really a thing in UEFA competitions). It seems to have gone over well up in Scotland.
Of course, if he's still around, it'd be Arteta going back to one of his old clubs.
Something I learned today was that Rangers used to own shares in Arsenal a long time ago, which helped the club through a rough patch.

Willock with another late goal for Newcastle. Has scored them three winning goals now.
Newcastle want to keep him, too.
