Re: Arsenal Vs Newcastle
Does this team not know how to beat the offside trap? Why arent they running off the ball and trying to get in behind the Newcastle defence? They are all waiting for the ball at their feet. Also, Saka is getting bodied by Lazaro and Bentalb, and they still keep him isolated.
I would take Niles over Bellerin at right back, especially in Arteta's system. Bellerin is playing like he has forgotten how to be a right back.

Re: Arsenal Vs Newcastle
What an incredible 2nd half ffs
4-0. Can't remember the last time we thrashed someone in the league.
Pepe with a goal and 2 assists. Ceballos great in midfield. Saka brilliant yet again.
Hope we continue with this

Re: Arsenal Vs Newcastle
I did not foresee a 4-0 win after the first 30 minutes, that was for sure. Arsenal committed a lot of mistakes in transitions, mostly by giving away needless fouls or getting caught in possession, and Newcastle's pace on the flanks was looking scary when they got at Xhaka, Ceballos and Bellerin. Then, when it came to penetrating Newcastle, the final pass was often off, or someone would over-dribble.
Maybe it was just a bit of rust after the break. The team did improve as the game went on. Bellerin was noticeably more willing to go on the overlap and stretch that side, which really helped make space for Ozil and Pepe. I felt we saw some of the old Ozil tonight, and Pepe's best game in an Arsenal shirt so far.
Everton and West Ham, both at home, to come next either side the EL and FA Cup. The time to put a run together is now.
