We can't win the domestic treble but we can win the continental treble. Usually its really easy for other leagues to win everything except the CL hence their definition of a treble includes the FA cup (National cup), National League and CL. Hence, the definition which is original and perfect for a treble is this.

Not to mention KFC Mcdonalds Carabao cup is just an English thing existing in England, no other league plays an extra 8 games to win a fuck all trophy.
I know. My post was full of false modesty. Very Happy

Anyways we march on !

Perfectly true but I wanna put my thoughts out there regardless, most of GL enjoys each year without consequences of their words. I want in.
Win the treble and you'll be proved right Smile

they rely too much on luck, var and last minute goals to win a treble

I have a feeling that the rest of our RM section won’t admit to it, but so did we when we won the double. Look no further than our statistics for the first half of that season. We churned out wins in the most frustrating fashion, up until we hit form and Barca’s form fell off a cliff.

part of winning titles of any kind, especially the big ones includes a bit of luck and last minute goals (there was no var in the past, but its part of the game). there is a saying 'good teams make their own luck'. utd had 2 late goals at the nou camp in 99, chelsea had a lot drogba equalizer and a pk miss from the opponent. spain had a late iker save, barca had the late iniesta goal and the drogba 'disgrace' moment, madrid's heroics or 'luck' according to those who don't like us have been well documented here, pool had the magic in turin

fact is, especially in team sports there are these moments that happen, doesn't make anyone less of the champion. the title doesn't read, "lakers won the championship but big shot bob hit a lucky winner", it reads lakers champions. and the season isn't even over yet....but yeah everyone needs a luck, not just in sports, even in life. doesn't make one less of a person or champion

I agree, Tito. I think BC was making the argument that it doesn’t look sustainable, though. Normally, that conclusion would make sense, but like you point out, we’ve seen too many teams defy the odds and rely heavily on luck on their road to titles, to rule out the possibility that it might happen again. They actually have really good, individual players in each part of the pitch as well. Among the «lucky champions» I’ve witnessed in my time, this version of Liverpool may just be the most balanced and stable one.

Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard will now be represented by super-agent Mino Raiola.

Raiola's clients include Lingard's team-mate Paul Pogba and former United players Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Romelu Lukaku and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

In a recent interview in Italy, Raiola labelled United a "club out of touch with reality" and said he would not send any of his other clients to Old Trafford as they would "ruin Maradona, Pele and Maldini".

you need one of 2 things to make a living in football. 1 is talent and the other is raiola. and lindgard has raiola Laughing

So glad its done.

Warrior fucking sucked and outside the first jersey of Warrior paired with LFC I never bought any else given not only all of them looked the EXACT SAME since the beginning but their quality was like buying a second-hand copy from Thailand. Only the Americans seemed supportive of the company for the club and I get why but won't be missed.

I'm liking the collective pressing right after losing the ball by Arsenal. You can tell there is purpose to their game now. The right manager is everything, I'm telling ya.

nah Özil left Schalke right after youth, didn't he? Had his breakthrough at Bremen (played EL until the final 2010 IIRC, Those were the times when Bremen was still good) and then left for Real in 2010?

Schalke were much ridiculed for letting Özil leave like that back then

30 mins of control, then 15 minutes where the game turned scrappy. Palace pressed more aggressively in that period and suddenly Arsenal started losing their composure.

Sort of game Arsenal really could do with a pressure-resistant midfielder and another ball-playing CB. Sokratis is playing deeper than Luiz to provide depth in the build-up, and to disguise his limitations on the ball. Torreira keeps taking his touch inside or behind him, and is taking too many touches to re-orient himself. So the ball is staying a touch too long in Arsenal's half, and they're not getting Ozil into the game enough.

They only shot of note came from Luiz finding that pass to Ozil. Luiz to Kolasinac or Luiz to Auba was a reliable way forward but Palace got wise to it.

This may be a game for Guendouzi.

I mean, Sokratis and Kolasinac are also a bit on the clumsy side, but the biggest weak spot in possession to me seems to be right back. Maitland-Niles isn't that convincing.
Bellerin seems like a faint memory at this point, how many games has he played in the last 2 years? Like, five?
