BarcaLearning wrote:The question would be though is he suitable for Barca's style? As in he seems very much a player that is best at counter attacks and with space because of his speed? Is his link up and technique good enough to consistently succeed vs the ptb teams that leaves u no space that Barca face basically every game? I know hes physically strong and fast in general with great finishing, Im sure he would be a huge upgrade for us, but not sure if it would mean automatic success...
No player in the world is suitable to barca style since you don't have a style. Why would any talented player want to go to that mess of a club?
Hope he goes to Madrid or Arsenal

All 3 clubs are in a mess, to be fair
As for his link-up play, I think it's as good as you'd expect. I can scarcely think of anyone else who's substantially better at it. The most glaring weakness I've seen in Haaland, is his lack of composure and poor timing on headers. I'm not sure why he lacks composure in those situations, because he seems cool as ice otherwise. He does have poor matches where nothing seems to work for him, like in the most recent match against Bayern Munich. Those seem to be very rare, though.

So much filth. So much nastiness. So much ruthlessness. The kid is so young, yet he displays a level of maturity that even established strikers in their prime don't possess.
I really don't care at this point whether we sign Mbappé or not. I really, really don't care. All I want is for this Norwegian tank to wear the white of Madrid as soon as possible.

Must admit. There is something really wrong with his appearance. I am not sure what it is. But he is definitely a psychopath

as always Liverpool are absolutely fine with taking risks as they took with Salah or Mane, elite but still not Messi, Ronaldo or Halland. So you guys are right to take Halland and we will somehow adjust with Mbappe.

Re: Erling Haaland
I get what RG is talking about. He has that same cold-blooded, predatory look of Kid Buu.
He doesn't resemble him at all, but they both have a common factor here which is that they both have their forehead skin slightly drooping over their eyes, which in turn hides their upper eyelids and gives them that cold look.

Re: Erling Haaland
His dad has often been described as a «rough-looking guy» by local journalists. Other times, they’ve referred to his square jaw or no bullshit, facial expressions. And yet, Erling doesn’t really look that much like his dad. His sister does look like him, and somehow, she’s decent looking.
I find it a bit bizarre and comical that among his siblings, he looks the most like his mom. I personally thought his mom, a former, national heptathlon champion, was a babe when she was younger. At least, the good, athletic genes were passed on to him

What I tried to say was that his sister isn’t outright bad-looking, despite resembling the dad more than her siblings. Oddly enough, Haaland seems to resemble his mom the most, and the mom was an absolute babe when she was a young athlete. Would’ve fit right in, in Baywatch genes work in mysterious ways.

nah you're being way too harsh with them. They are a nice-looking family, tall with 13% body fat between all 5 of them.

Re: Erling Haaland
I don’t think I’m being harsh. Like I mentioned earlier, I remember reading local articles about dad Haaland back when he was a captain at Man City, and he was always described as square-jawed, brawler-looking, or just rough- looking in one way or another, as if the journalists couldn’t help adding those descriptions.
Him marrying an attractive, national heptathlon champ was angled by the media as a bit of a beauty and the beast story.
With that said, you’d expect the children who look the most like the mom to turn out the most attractive in the family, but I don’t think that’s the case here

Re: Erling Haaland
He's a nice kid who looks a bit ogre like. Leave him alone, such are those Norwegians.
Also, I just have say - "Braut" is his mom's last name? Gry Braut?
That's such a goddamn good name for a woman.
There aren't by any chance any Nowegian female given name such as "Heisse", "Geile", "Scharfe"?
Scharfe Braut, would that be possible as a Norwegian woman's name?

Gry is a very conservative, almost extinct name that I typically associate with my great grandparents’ generation. The names you mentioned look a little bit similar to other, female names from the same generation that are also facing extinction - Hedda, Gerd.. can’t think of an equivalent to Scharfe.
Pedram wrote:This thread is getting a bit creepy/stalky, hope Erling never find this thread while searching his name on google.
Hah. Well, I’m not the one who keeps pointing to his distinctive appearance. I think he has a fairly normal looking family, but clearly Erling himself has very distinctive facial features. I asked a female colleague if she knew who he was, and she replied «it’s that guy with the slightly odd looking face, right?» To be honest, I think his appearance is a positive addition to the somewhat goofy, unconventional, enigma that he is.

Re: Erling Haaland
'Barca style'
We got people still thinking this is 2009?
You have no discernable style, the team relies on the heroics of one player, no amount of marquee record fee signings, racist NBA-loving, lazy fuckboy work ethic, fraudulent Portuguese players, will help this horrible group of players. This team will plummet with the departure of Messi, and there is no one to pick it up after him.
Can't wait for this shit Cule club to descend into debt and non-relevance
