This has been the Barca in every Clasico in the last 4 seasons, only then they have been able to nick goals out of nowhere and go around puffing their chests out. Terrible team full of cheats

The main thing I learned from this clásico is how superior EPL has become compared to La Liga. The tides have turned and it will be a while until we see a Spanish team winning CL again.

Meanwhile, Arsenal paid actual money for Xhaka and Pepe. De Jong is fine, just first season stuff.

Alas, Barcelona was poor but they have been whenever they faced a team whose midfields outruns theirs which doesn't take much apparently and yet, should have taken the lead through that timeless Messi to Alba link up. Meanwhile, Madrid actually played the better brand of football but lacked any real cutting edge. Shame really.

All in all, good Clasico. Can't complain from a Madrid perspective.

As futbol mentione and I read that Camp Nou classicos have been more tight and actually we been getting better results at Reals ground than at home, since Real are obliged to be more attacking and open at home. Anyhow I thought Real were pretty aggressive and troubled us a lot by pushing our defenders and blocking our passing routes very well. I really thought we would have lost, we have had decent luck actually.

Our team selection obviously no Busquets was pretty huge I thought, not that Rakitic was a replacement we are happy with but at least we managed. We do need a proper DM signing though if De Jong arent going to be the guy who plays there which initially I thought was his role for us long term?

Im pretty sick of Roberto still getting starts for us in classicos and big matches. I mean, we definitely can do better than this. I thought Semedo was decent but we do need an upgrade if we are to have our right side of the pitch back to our best instead of what it is these days - average. Messi was on fire just a week or so ago, even after he got his Ballon D'or, but the past two games hes been in a bit of a slump, tiredness maybe?

This is just a survival season since we are stuck with Valverde so cant expect too much and we are still top somehow lol, I guess just getting used to us being poor and lucky and still getting results somehow.

The Frenchman was stood on by Lenglet and two minutes later had his shirt pulled by Ivan Rakitic.
Raphaël Varane was involved in two controversial moments in el Clásico at the Camp Nou. The Frenhcman could have had two penalties in the first half but Hernández Hernández did not give wither of them. On minute 17, the madridista went to head a corner before Lenglet stood on his thigh muscle in the area, but neither the referee nor VAR (where De Burgos Bengoetxea was in charge) deemed it a penalty.

Two minutes later and following another corner, the central defender had his shirt pulled by Ivan Rakitic, which saw him end up on the ground in the penalty area. However, once again, neither the referee or the VAR system decided to award the penalty.

Meh, we shouldn't turn into Barca. This is hardly the only time this season we've been hard done by. I prefer we collect them all and Perez goes at them at the end of the season even if we win

It's not even about the decisions in this game its the fact that we have been at the end of poor refereeing decisions throughout the last two seasons and never benefited from VAR at all. It's starting to irritate the whole club. We have apparently requested to listen to the audio exchange between the VAR room and the ref

Compare that to the CL where we got a penalty against Gala for a foul nobody saw bar Kroos and VAR and we were already leading by 3 goals when VAR ref consulted the referee and asked him to have a look at the monitor again

That NEVER happens to us in the league unless it's to chalk off our goals for mm offsides and soft touches aka fouls

Watch RFEF try to level it all by ignoring a Bilbao blatant penalty on Sunday. Would be typical LaLiga refereeing
