Gomez has nothing to prove to anyone, just needs to get back to his normal WC form once again.

Hope he does but then again I don't trust him but then again he's not the only one in the squad for me as some would feel. We have high expectations regardless of the squad and we can't individually give a buffer to those we prefer.

never said Gomez is ahead of Matip, at least on his current form. Remember Matip was injurypron not so long ago so we need Gomez in and around the first team. In fact I have seen Matip in BL for many many years so I exactly know how good eh can be. We might need to rest Vvd in between or god forbid during injury also. Gomez will surely come good but just need more game time to develop.

Unfortunately not. I usually go to local matches more than any big club. But I still used to hear a lot about him from people who would watch him live.
