Re: El Matador - Sergio Ramos
Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has declared: "Yes, I have a different point of view from Florentino Perez, the same differences that you can have with a father, something to solve inside the family. It has nothing to do with money of with the new contract, I have three more years on my deal with Real".

Re: El Matador - Sergio Ramos
He seems to have given Perez a signed T-Shirt. May be Perez ran out of napkins
. Ramos & Iker ruffled Perez's feathers for sure. May be the reports are fed to media to send a message that they are not indispensable. But I doubt either of them will be sold.

He lives in his own world. I miss my friend Le Samourai here
Ancelloti/Perez don't seem really happy with him. he will be good business next summer.

Re: El Matador - Sergio Ramos
Sergio Ramos has admitted that he would rather win La Decima with Real Madrid than another World Cup.
Los Blancos were drawn with Borussia Dortmund for the Champions League quarter-finals this afternoon, as the capital club look to win their 10th European Cup.
And the defender has conceded that, given the choice, he would prefer a club triumph than lifting the title with Spain in the summer.
“I’ve got a tattoo of the World Cup but not the European Cup,” he told La Cope.
“Right now, I'd rather win 'La Décima' than the World Cup. If I manage to win both, I might mention it to those who have criticized me.”
The Roja international then commented on the Clasico against Barcelona this weekend, praising the Catalan outfit.
“Barcelona are having a fantastic season - maybe people have become accustomed to seeing them up there but it’s unusual to have three teams in the title race and with the amount of points we have at this stage of the campaign.”
Ramos concluded by remarking on some of his teammates at Santiago Bernabeu.
“Pepe has learned from his mistakes and he’s matured. Both of us have made mistakes.
“The Press makes out that we are both violent players but we just get on with it. Every team has to defend as they know how.
“Casillas is a great captain – both for the national team and Madrid. I’m the deputy captain and both us have different duties within the dressing room.
“I’ve known a few captains who are leaders and others who aren’t – he’s a leader.
“I have a great friendship with Cristiano. When a team mate has a problem, you have to help them and take care of them. Whenever I have had problems, he has worried about me and looked out for me.”

Re: El Matador - Sergio Ramos
Sergio ramos could actually be one very big weak point in our team when he is not with the ball.
With the ball, his distribution and movement is top-notch, but during high pressure games, ramos almost always fails without the ball, committing useless challenges and getting red cards.
Why is a player with such a bad red card record rated so high, I really need to understand this.
With such a record, it means the said player makes wrong decisions.
So why do we stil rate him as high as we do if he keeps making dumb decisions.
Is it because he is spanish or are we blinded by his reputation and goal-scoring record during his right-back days?

@shadexticos - Good question.
I would leave this to Ramos' fan baby to answer. Hadn't seen him after the Red.

It's because of his reputation, the fact that he's Spanish and all the positive things he's shown since he's been at the club.

Re: El Matador - Sergio Ramos
Reports are suggesting that Perez told Ramos that his contract will be significantly improved.
This conversation happened on the day Madrid won the champions league.
Maybe Perez was just excited after the team won? or maybe he didn't realize how much ramos would ask for?
However, as vice-captain of Madrid, I do not like how Ramos has been dealing with this situation. But then again, its football and this is how agents and players negotiate better terms these days.
That being said, Madrid cant afford to sell Ramos. Honestly I have been through enough years of terrible defending at Madrid. Ramos is one of the best defender the club ever had, in this era. Hands down.

How can you not like the way Ramos is handling things when the only reports on the way things have happened are based on media speculation?

Re: El Matador - Sergio Ramos
after the cl win perez promised most our players improved deals especially adm and ramos. when adm didnt get what he was promised and asked for it he was sold and tye same is happening to ramos now. seems only Ronaldo can get more money and the rest only extensions with no raises
As much as I dislike Ramos Perez has got to keep his promises or players will leave. Pepe for example is on peanut wages thank god he hasn't asked for more because he would be shipped out the moment he uttered the word money with his history regardless of his status as our best defender and imo the best defender in the world
I wouldn't mind koscielny on our bench with pepe and varane starters. Otamendi is too slow for our type of football defensively. our cbs need to be really fast due to the attacking nature of our fullbacks and our lack of a dm

Would you guys not care if Ramos leaves?
He is 29 and at the point where he might be looking for a new challenge but still, he has spend over a decade at Madrid.

I don't mind him leaving. He is a haphazard defender who costs us points in the league with his calamitous defending and red cards every year like clockwork. He is a good leader though which we'll miss but our soon to be captain Carvajal has all what it takes to be a leader

Doubt he is even going to be a starter nevermind being captain.
Ronaldo is next in line

@donuts, you shouldn't be, marcelo and pepe are the vice captains respectively, so yes, they'll take the armband. we choose our skippers based on experience at the club i.e. the persons that arrived the first team earliest ; so marcelo, then pepe

Well, if Iker and Ramos leave Marcelo is easily the most qualified to take the armand, leaving aside his aside his experience at the club.

We would also have at least two more laliga titles if it wasn't for him. I don't care about injuries but he was basically the sole reason we didn't win the trouble two seasons ago. Less mistakes more trophies
