I remember that joke, yes, I saw the episode. It did rub me strangely wrong, but I like his way of being able to deliver such material.

It's doubly complicated as in effect Noah makes the joke of an European racialist, but him being an African.
Yet, as a South African, ........ etc

The assimilation talked about here sounds nice - and i definitely could see in theory how this would make for a more peaceful political landscape when it comes to racial tensions. But then the real problem is, minorities will always have to fall in line with the dominant culture (group-think). All at the expense of some sort of pseudo-identity that gets advocated for - "Frenchness". Just like how "Africanism/ness" is also just another bland term that tries to encapsulate people based on their roots and skin colour with certain criteria that some people have in mind (hence you get black people arguing who is more African than the other).

Talks and strategies about "identity politics" are always framed in an idealisitc manner of thought. But the biggest problem people seem to overlook is the practical nature of deep-rooted clashing perspectives between people coming from different backgrounds. (Notice how I say "background" and not culture, I don't believe in culture because it is just a means of group politics/manipulation.) For example, let's say the minority group (people of colour) falls in line with the dominant (whites) - white people will continue to adopt and re-inforce their perspectives and practices over the others without even facing a hint of social justice. Minorites will then have to deal with all their little racial behaviours and transgressions that whites themselves are not even aware they are acting out haha.

That's the weirdest thing that i have experienced when it comes to white people. The underlying rooted ego of believing/acting out that they are "better", "naturally more intelligent and capable" than people of another complexion or who speak a different language to them comes up in so many small instances/actions across different contexts, AND THEY THEMSELVES DO NOT EVEN REALISE IT most of the time, which is the craziest thing - and something which some white folk do not want to accept or claim is false apparently.

Other than that white folk are lovely people, they just need to learn to find their empathetic heart again and soften up to other people as the years go on.

Now after saying all of that, I do think reverse racism can be a thing in some instances, and I am all for getting along with each other because i believe that has to be the aim - and celebrating varying cultures/heritages is a good thing - but in doing that i believe "whiteness" can also be celebrated. I don't believe in saying white culture is just racism and colonisation, or "ancient Greek/Rome" or whatever. Celebrating "cultures" should be about making people aware of all the different backgrounds that we come from - and hence different perspectives. And open us up to how we've been conditioned since birth about our ideas concerning skin colours - and trying to find empathy as reconciliation. Once empathy becomes the basis of all interracial interactions - then all the right actions between everyday folk will come in time. I wanted to say all the right political implications will come in time as well, but that would just be a blatant lie as the politicians game is to feed off "differences" and promote it in order to keep us separated/controlled.

one race has to be the most dominate on earth and it just so happens to be the white race but his inferiority complex is crazy. he dislikes a chinese man because he thinks other people dislikes that chinese guy and might mistake him for a chinese guy. if people hate the chinese guy for being chinese then its them he should have the problem with. his way of thinking is crazy.

Im not white and didnt mean it in with bad intentions. Precisely if you have experienced something traumatic you should seek therapy. And even if you haven't experienced some deep trauma, everyone would benefit from therapy. It is clear he has a lot going on inside him.

I think people often mistake Passion for unstableness.

I am pretty stable, and generally a positive person in life. I am passionate about social justice and issues though so that comes out in these type of discussions.

I dont think I actively have an inferiority complex, but I imagine its impossible for a person of color to grow up in America and not have a complex of some type based simply on society.

I like him even more after watching this recent podcast. He's making too much sense for Americans to elect him sadly.

I don't watch cable TV so I rarely hear about stuff related to Europe. Sometimes I read NY Times, a couple articles a month, US related mainly. Is it that hard to believe I never heard about that German minister? I also never hear what Angela Merkel says. Or any other European leader for that matter. I have no idea whats going on with Brexit currently, i just don't. Therefore I cannot comment on something I didnt hear about.
