Why is Montolivo benched during such a crazy injury crisis?

Calabria-Mauri-Calhanoglu has 0 competent central midfielders

Gattuso playing to so safe he continues to use a lost Laxalt up in the midfield, Calabria (a RB) in the midfield just to protect the defence, to which leaks as it is.

0-1 Fiorentina

'Cheisa

Excuse can be made that we have a severely weakened squad but the problem is more systematic than anything.

Same thing has been tried over and over and only to fail. Midfield fails to deliver the ball forward and our forwards look destitute of any confidence whatsoever and the 4-4-2 brings little cohesion and the latest trials seem to be throw anything at the wall and see what works.

Bringing in a long absent Conti for Abate when we needed a goal just did it for me.

No mas.

Chiesa has unbelievable technique but he has tunnel vision most of the time and seems the player one would be utterly annoyed to play with.

Can be great in the future but I dont buy the hype behind him.

Cristiano rips Fazio in half after being undermarked and finds a clinical assist for a Costa tap-in.

2-0 Juve Roma.

Similar situation to Milan. Undermotivated and just without character the team, weakened or not.

Costa taken away his first goal of the season as the goal is called off in very bold fashion. VAR is just fascinating mostly.

Not watching the game as there isn't much of a point, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if Juve do eventually get that 2nd goal. That looks more likely than us actually using that VAR decision to our advantage and trying to get back into the game.

Inter Milan have suspended Radja Nainggolan for disciplinary reasons.

The 30-year-old, who had disciplinary issues during his time at former club Roma, has been temporarily banned from all football activity at the club.

Fraud signing maybe but he made Roma more fearful to play against alone.

I wasn’t impressed with Juve yesterday, more so for the amount of chances missed. You just can’t miss 3, 4, 5 chances and win games and it was Ronaldo missing them ffs. I guess that’s my only complaint along but what a season for Juve so far.

Schick looking like the biggest fraud in recent times. The guy looks like Achilles until he gets touched. Has all the movement and skill but nothing comes from it. Czech Morata

I'm convinced Schick probably plays better as a 2nd striker but EDF has played him as a younger Dzeko, which he clearly isn't. Problem is he's our only fully fit centre forward at the moment. I think he would work better playing behind and/or off of Dzeko. That said, his confidence is underground right now.

As for Nainggolan, I love the guy and would take him back in a heartbeat honestly. I think the off pitch issues are largely blown out of proportion. They were never a major factor during his time here and never interfered with his ability to contribute in the pitch. He never wanted to leave and we forced him out, that would not surprise me if it ends up being the reason for him acting out right now.

Nainggolan has not improved Inter but he has weakened Roma at same time.
Not by chance there are 9 points of difference between two teams at this moment
That Is explainable : He wanted to stay in Rome , but he was sent away from Rome. Not even the fact that Inter had received him (moreover his favorite club when he was child) has mitigated his intolerance for It.
His head was/ Is still in Rome.
And for me that was unacceptable .
[ i suppose It might be very similar for Higuain-Milan / Juve. And that explains his poor Milan performances. Both demotivated for the transfer]
I mean, we are Inter , we have received you as a Messiah, we have literally sacrificated for you , renouncing to Rafinha - while that Roma dumped you as a discard... And you, Nainggolan, come to Milano to mind your business.
Terribile attitude.the opposite of Rafinha.
But that's Nainggolan, he always cared more about personal happiness than ambition ( I remember he also refused rich Premier League bids in past so as to stay in Rome ). And when he was forced to leave Rome old 30 ys he felt  dazed for It.
For Radja Nainggolan Milano Is just the distance from Montecarlo.
For me It is okay to sell him already in January if we can replace him.i am not going to miss this.

Very fair and accurate assessment, Robes.

I hate that we put him in such a difficult position though Santon (recent mistakes notwithstanding) and Zaniolo are contributing well at least we're getting our money's worth from the transaction. We are definitely weaker given Pastore was the replacement and he's been a non-factor for a couple months now.

0-0 Frosinone-Milan

So throughout this dreary match of terrible defence, nerve passes, miscommunication, tentative shots and players blaming one another for their mistakes; I struggled to remember the last time we scored.

And just got the statistic after that we have failed to do in 4 games.

First time since Nineteen Eighty fucking Four.

Gattuso has relied upon exhausted grinta etc to fuel his once promising system that just lacks any balance, cohesion and any serve to Higuain or Cutrone.

Higuain for all he should not be blamed for this season and despite being highly unlucky missed a glaring shot this evening and whilst I sympathised with him versus Juve, he needs to control his temper.

Everyones confidence and morale is shot to pieces and they all look far worse than what they can perform.

It is time for Rino to and the trigger must be pulled as going like this into the Holidays must have this squad dread coming back.

Just seems a squad that all banded together with no recollection of who is who and what not.

Time for change.

I wouldn’t go that far but Zapata bent him over today

The real L is held by Allegri, dropping Ronaldo, ok, but dropping Pjanic and Matuidi too, away at Atalanta?

Midfield of Khedira, Can and Bentancur was dire.

Also, someone please explain to me what happened to Douglas Costa?

Bonucci was at fault today but otherwise is great for the team, improves our play tons.

Costa is useless this season.

That midfield was bad.

Still feels like we would have won if not for the red card. Rookie mistake by Bentancur.

Fair, I didn’t realize. Our bench was pretty depleted ome to think about it but Atalanta away is always tough regardless so it is what it is.

I’ll take the 2-2 considering the context gladly
