We signed Raul De Tomas like 3 days ago lol, he posted about it on his twitter, i'm assuming that means he will be part of the squad. I believe he's worked before with Lopetegui.

So Lope wants to keep hold of Vallejo. Well that means no more defenders. I am ok with that as long as we freaking sign two attackers like pronto. With how the WC is turning out we're probably waiting for their values to drop lol

We didn’t sign in past couple of years because Zidane said we were better off going what we had and he was right!

Now (and last year) we are signing prospects or projects (that is what today’s signing is). Why, because our academy has literally run dry. It doesn’t mean that these kids make the first team, it means they are prospects and need to develop to see if they are a fit.

The problem last year was Zidane didn’t play most of the prospects and also we had too many of the prospects on 1st team at same time. Plus we had two that didn’t deserve to be there at all (Mayoral and Achraf). If you want to criticize our signings, that’s were it failed last season.

Lopetequi knows some of these kids well. He apparently has already said, he doesn’t want Mayoral, Achraf plus he is doubtful about both Llorente and Ceballos. The only one that can be confident about staying is Theo. Vallejo and Ceballos are possibilities. A lot depends on what happens in midfield. Apparently they will listen to offers for Kovacic and they want someone more defensive than Llorente and Mascarell isn’t viewed as strong enough (they are looking to resell him) plus a more suitable experienced backup to Modric. Thiago has been mentioned. Plus there are offers out there for both Llorente and Ceballos. IMO, Llorente will be sold and with Ceballos, it depends on who are the midfielders and can Ceballos get the playing time he needs to develop or he is (and club) better off with the pending sale/ buy back deal with Betis.

As to the big needs (forwards),  nothing will happen until after world cup! Wait until August before you throw your criticism.

Any deals that are happening now are reserve spots or projects.

IMO, we are just one or two signings away. Reports are club will listen to offers for Bale, Benzema (as well as Kovacic) and have dug their heels re Ronaldo latest. They likely will play with only two forwards with Isco given a starter role plus Asensio will take on a more prominent role. What all this means is that the money is there if they can attract one or two big time forwards.

He is coming back home, buy back or loan termination. It may mean a shot at reserve striker depending on what happens in signings and training camp, but more likely as with Mascarell, the return price is cheap and a high probability of a sale for profit, if he doesn’t fit into cuurent team.

Raul De Tomas does not have the quality IMO to even be a backup striker, so I will be crossing my fingers he gets sold back on, or loaned out.

It’s been explained what is Flo’s strategy with regards to signings.

With signing promising youth at low prices ( and yes in today’s market 40M for a possible big game player), there is less risk than 100M for an experienced player. If the 100M signing doesn’t work out, you lose out on season plus resale value. With the promises, you have several seasons to determine if he will make it and highly likely you can sell at a profit if it doesn’t work out.

This new philosophy is a result of the academy running dry and today’s market prices.

However, It doesn’t mean that we don’t sign on the open market, just that they can afford to be more selective.

You're signing kids with no experience for 20,30 and 40 mil ffs.  The likelihood of these players becoming something is VERY LOW.  I don't think you're saving any money at all in aggregate.  In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if we end up losing more.

Our top players are getting old and they have no competition behind them.  Literally none.  These kids aren't going to push for a starting position... which is what you want in your squad as tito explained.  You don't want guys who will pout if they're not regulars...  but at least players who have a professional track record of some note and will fight to show they're worth to wear the Real Madrid shirt.

He didn't fail a medical.  That part is a lie.  They tried to say there was a medical issue to sneakily decrease the transfer price right at the end and Lyon told them to fack off. In fact, Liverpool came back to the table but Aulas is a proud man and he got angry = opened up the market for Fekir again.

Aulas is pretty up front about transfers... I'll give him that.  Over the years, his bs has been more about shade towards PSG and OM... not transfers.

He'll probably never make it. Broke his leg in the second half of the season iirc. And anyway he was probably never going to make it at this level.

Lol Odegaard didn't break a leg, he had a metatarsal fracture in one of his feet. He's still only 19 1/2 years old and unproven so i doubt we will see him play with us anytime soon. His loan spell is over, might play a few pre season games and get loaned out to a La Liga team or something.
