Juventus prepare Ronaldo unveiling
10 July at 14:55
Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly already preparing for the unveiling of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese superstar is set to leave Real Madrid to join Juventus this summer and he is willing to join the bianconeri this summer, with talks currently underway.
La Stampa report that Juventus are preparing a special unveiling for Ronaldo and will look to match the manner in which Ronaldo was presented by Real Madrid in 2009 on his arrival from Manchester United.
It could be one of the most historic unveilings in history of the bianconeri and they are prepared to make it one of the best ever for the club.

OFFICIAL: Juventus sign Ronaldo!
By Football Italia staff
Juventus have officially agreedd the signing of Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo for a Serie A record fee of €105m.
“Real Madrid CF communicates that, in response to the will and request expressed by the player Cristiano Ronaldo, he has agreed to transfer to Juventus FC.
“Today, Real Madrid wants to express its gratitude to a player who has proved to be the best in the world and who has marked one of the brightest times in the history of our club and world football.
“Beyond the titles won, the trophies and the triumphs achieved on the playing field during these nine years, Cristiano Ronaldo has been an example of dedication, work, responsibility, talent and improvement.
“He has also become the top scorer in the history of Real Madrid with 451 goals in 438 games. In total 16 titles, including four Champions Leagues, three of them consecutive and four in the last five seasons.
“On an individual basis, with the Real Madrid jersey he has won four Ballon d’Ors, two The Best, and three Gold Boots, among many other awards.
“For Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo will always be one of his great symbols and a unique reference for the next generations.
“Real Madrid will always be your home.”
Rumours began to emerge late last month that the Bianconeri were interested in signing the Portuguese, and while they were initially dismissed the story quickly gained traction.
It quickly became clear that a deal was possible, with Ronaldo agreeing on a €30m per season contract, which is expected to be partly financed by sponsorships.
Today CR7’s agent Jorge Mendes met with Real Madrid to hear whether the Old Lady’s offer had been accepted, while President Andrea Agnelli flew to Greece to greet the Ballon d’Or at his holiday resort.
Now it has sensationally been confirmed that Ronaldo will sign for Juventus, in the most expensive transfer in Serie A history.
Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009, and incredibly has more goals than games played, having made 438 appearances and scored 450 goals.

At least now there's a justification for us actually turning a profit whilst selling big players. It took a while but god damn we snapped up this opportunity.

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo #7
And were already seeing the return in terms of branding
The brand value that Ronaldo has added from a business perspective is immediate. The return of investment is evident.
From a sporting perspective, even simpler. He's a winner, a tremendously hard worker, one of the most recognizable players in the game. He's outscored our team in the Champions League season after season. He's scored 40+ goals numerous times. He's a Champion.
It's a move that makes us a super power in every sense of it.

All these years when we've been talking about having to do X,YZ to catch up to the biggest clubs financially over the next 30 years when we may have just taken a short cut and signed one of the most marketable human beings in the world

From Serie B, to Conte's grinta, to Conte's '10 Euros at the 100 Euro restaurant', to Allegri's fantastico Juve, to losing 2 CL finals to superior opposition, to Cristiano Ronaldo

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo #7
Hell, it already brought in much needed traffic in the Juve section which needs to changed to the "JJ Council" immediately.
Seriously, this is an amazing signing. Not that it's would be a guarantee success but there is a low chance it'll fail. The man is an amazing footballer, can't go wrong.

Even though I can happily retire if we win a couple of CLs and be OK with life even if we start finishing 3rd again, the best thing about this might just be that we've announced ourselves as a premier destination going forward and not a club where you can come and technically compete for a treble whilst also showcasing your abilities to Barca, Real or United.

How big of an improvement he may be (which I think will be big) are secondary in this deal imo. It's everything else that helps Juve as a club. We are about to hop on that casual football fan hype train with CR that is bound to bring in money, exposure, and stature.
I think CR on the field will be a game changer, but even if he relatively fails at that, the move might end up a big success.

I remember how you and me went on about it on Tuz but there were always a bunch of financial 'experts' shutting us down
Our revenues were stagnating and the gap with the rich clubs was increasing. We had to make a move like this to close the gap. Johnny boy finally listened to us ffs

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo #7
One thing I hope is that he isn't allowed to touch a free kick unless we are winning 3-0 vs Sassuolo. I can already imagine the cancer it will bring to see CR stand over a free kick instead of Dybala and Pjanic if he bitches about it.
