messi has had to face much harder teams in the CL than madrid and ronaldo. RM still need to get passed bayern so dont count your chickens yet

that doesnt count, they usually look at trophies and goals, messi only has trophies this year.

Who looks? You realise trainers and coaches/ex players vote for the Ballon? They dont look at how many trophies you get, then Sneijder would have won at least 1 ;-)

Messi and Barcelona have nothing to show this year, plus Messi can't prove himself in the Euros.
It isn't unlikely that Real Madrid will win the CL and the league and CR is breaking goal scoring records again.
Plus he is actually considered one of the best, unlike Sneijder.
