Why the hell no Dybala again ? Him and Bernardeschi combine extremely well no matter the foot preference, it's a non-factor. Now imagine what he could achieve playing with Messi.

Argentina's XI is just horrendous, relies only on Messi. Take him off and it's a Lazio-level team.

Interesting tactical choice. I remember Cruyff once said if you're up against 2 great CB's the best course of action is to play without a striker.

Only problem here is your wingers are going to need to be constantly making runs inside the channels. Di Maria and Pavon seem more like classic touchline wingers. I don't even think they'll be inverted.

Also you're gonna need players from deep to the get the ball to the false 9 between the lines. Banega is fine but Enzo and Mascherano isn't.

Also as for Enzo seems like he's once of those tactical players. He gives Sampaoli the option to defend in a 4-4-2 or 4-5-1, since he's capable of covering wide and central spaces.

I don't think Argentina will win, as they have too many problems, but if Messi's up for it they'll have a chance.

what Argentina have going for them is that FRance are truly shit attacking. they dont want the ball, they dont know what to do with it. It would not surprise me to see Argentina dominating the ball, i actually expect it, but that's how france will win, on counter.

No idea why France stood off and gave Argentina space on the ball for the last 15 minutes.

It's pretty obvious they are incapable of creating passing angles under any sort of pressure not to mention the embarrassment that is the Argentina defence.

I get that but early on at least they were pressing the ball and closing down.

For some reason they stopped and if by magic Argentina started creating plays which get them near the box if not out right chances.
