Re: Cyberpunk 2077
The bugs don't bother me all that much, but the crashes....that's a different story. I put roughly 6 hours into it yesterday and it crashed 4 times within that window. If not for frequent save points, I'd still be at the first job.
Frankly, it should've been delayed further months until those issues were fixed. The pressure got to CDPR.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Definitely don't read the spoilers until you finish act 1, I guess only @Thimmy is past it?
- End of Act 1 spoilers, don't read if you haven't gotten there yet:
I love that the trailers faked us out with the story of the game and Johnny Silverhands. I didn't follow the game previews or trailers too closely, but from what I saw I had no clue they were going in this direction.
My impression from the trailer was that we cross Dex during some heist, he "kills" us, and that Johnny wakes us up in the badlands.
Seeing that the heist goes completely wrong, Dex kills us to save his ass, ends up dead anyway, and Johnny has been dead for 50 years was some very welcome surprises.
That whole sequence was excellent, playing as Johnny out of the blue in the Afterlife concert after V dies, and piecing it together was great.
I was reading the booklet that comes with the day 1 edition with all the Night City history and so on. Had read about the nuclear device on Arasaka towers 50 years prior. Then the first time you go to the Afterlife the bar tender says Johnny died as a legend. Finally when you play as Johnny getting on the hellicopter I pieced together it was all the same sequence of events.
Before that I figured Johnny had just faked out his death and would wake you up like in the trailer. This super hateful terrorist living in your head angle is pretty fresh, didn't see it coming.

I passed act 1 not too long ago, so I’m not far ahead. The game still crashes every time I play the game, so I’m progressing slowly.

I honestly believe they rushed it out, in order to meet the 2020 deadline, which they’ve mentioned several times as part of the lore from the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. It’s probably just a bonus that the release date coincides with christmas being around the corner.
They say they’ll fix the most substantial issues by march, which tells me that the game should’ve been released in march.

That tech sniper with thermic outline is OP as hell, you can charge and headshot through walls for 2000 damage
i don't even know where i found it
To the point i wonder if it's a bug

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Haven't played it yet( my sleep schedule is so fucked that i feel tired all the time so don't feel like playing it)
But i will say how they acted pre launch (not giving people console reviews etc) was very deceitful and it will take some time to earn that trust back from people.
The game should have been delayed the extra 3-4 months it probably needs, how it runs on base PS4/Xbox while demanding full price is unacceptable behaviour.

Police and NPC AI is almost non existent.
Police spawns right behind you no matter where you are and can't chase you with cars.
Cyberpunk 2077 my ass, even GTA 3 had better AI than this pile of shit.

Meh they'll put out some fixes through patches and in 2 years time nobody will remember this and then Witcher 4 will break another set of records again.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
As someone who is enjoying this inmensely, and has had tons of luck as to how it runs, I can still say it should been next gen exclusive.
A lot of people are getting burnt on PS4 and for many downloading 100gb of patches is not trivial. Also the thing with not letting reviewers have the console version is an extremely shitty move.
No doubt they will patch it all and have some free dlc and all will be well with the game, as the game itself is too good, but its just a horrible launch for a lot of people.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I still have had 0 crashes, no t-posing NPCs, no flying cars, no game breaking bugs, just visual glitches every so often. The kind of visual artifacts that you usually get from gaming on PC rather than console.
Absolutely loving the game. The characters, the writing, the dialogue is my highlight. Sidequests are great, feel like real windows into the world, tons of great stuff that you could easily miss.
After Act 1 I got on a motorcycle and drove north to South from Watson to Pacifica to finally check out the whole city and its amazing. Extremely cool.
Its also here when its obvious that it should be a PS5 game. The PS4 is really giving its all to try to keep up as I sped through all these open world areas.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I'm jealous, Rincon. I'm really enjoying the game when I'm able to play it for a while before crashing, but the crashes are incredibly anti-climatic and demotivating. I would've preferred for the game to look more pixelated, if it meant that I wouldn't have to worry about when the game's going to suddenly kick me out. Good thing that the game auto-saves relatively often, because I would've given up on it some time ago if it wasn't for that feature.

This is what worries me most. Performance and bugs will be fixed by patches but what about these?

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Art already linked to a reddit page discussing the issue of police AI in the game. My biggest issue with the police is that the sound and the visual feedback from bullets being shot by them, tend to disappear when they magically arrive in large groups on higher wanted levels - so my health bar drops rapidly, but I can't see or hear where they're shooting from or how many of them are shooting at me. I tried to escape into a back alley with no police or drone in sight, but they still shot me down somehow

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Loving this game, although i progress carefully to avoid crashes, my longest non-stop play is 1h30
Dialogues and scenery are great. Above all this game was made for PC, on PS4 they will patch soon hopefully, and more persons can enjoy it.
For hard settings the AI is a bit clumsy, it's not as much of a challenge as it could be for this reason. At the beginning it was difficult to beat enemies, not anymore. Yes the health drops fast but you come across a ridiculous amount of heal packs. Majority of my deaths are due to bad timing using them, mostly while reloading at the same time.

- During act 1:
- At some point V must enter a car whose being shot by 20 enemies, probably a bug that i could not distract them, so rush and spam heal packs was sufficient

I just ran straight to the car under fire. Seemed to fit the situation we were in imo.
Have you started the Delamain sidequest yet? I burst out laughing with the first cab I did.

- @Rincon:
Yeshe rammed my car and called me a fucking asshole or something, did not expect that. Fun character, it's also interesting that the devs use him to take subtle digs at technology taking control of our lives (when he won't help Jackie because the fee is paid in advance)
As i visit the Delamain HQ i was a bit paranoid, expecting i'd have to make a rampage there, looked 100% like a trap

Re: Cyberpunk 2077

I'm sure there's games that have been in worse states but nothing on this level when it comes to actual sales.
The right move though, even though I'm surprised they had the balls to do it especially with Christmas sales etc.

The game was so shit it was removed from the store
Have to wonder if Sony would've done this if it was a big triple A studio from the US tho. Still fully justified

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Having started my gaming journey before downloadable games were a thing and every game had to be in its final state at release, because there was no patching a game, I welcome this news. Game studios have been releasing increasingly unfinished games in the last 10 years, with the mentality that they'll just fix everything with patches. I find it a bit annoying, so nice to see Sony drawing a line here. (Although I think this is only because of the performance issues on last-gen consoles, not the overall unfinished state of the game. Especially the constant overheating shutdowns can cause permanent damage to hardware).

Sony didn't do this to teach a lesson to studios, they were just pissed at CDPR for forcing Sony's hand to refund their broken game, Sony doesn't like to refund and they were getting too many requests so they just said fuck it and pulled the game from their store.
I'm glad someone finally showed the middle finger to CDPR, these guys were getting too arrogant for a relatively newcomer studio, they released one AAA tier game and thought they were invincible to criticisms.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Love how they tried to shift the blame on Sony/MS & Sony just outright removed the broken game from their store.
Apparently the first game to be removed from the store like this.

Earlier this month, Cyberpunk 2077 was released on the PlayStation 4. After receiving many messages from gamers, we have decided not to list the game in our store. https://t.co/Kx7rctpJn9

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
The leaked conference call revealed that everyone in the company knew what a disaster the game was for last gen consoles and none of them were bothered by it.
There are 2 silver linings to it though
1) Game will be really cheap in 6 months and mostly fixed
2) The studio will make Witcher 4 to compensate for this
