Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I'm kind of sick of reading and watching about Cyberpunk tbh.
I just want to play it.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
The game is still 5 months away, too early to judge it. I'm quietly hopeful about it.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Even as a bad game it will be better than most
I just don't want it to be complicated or overwhelming

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
So basically that 20 minutes of cut scenes and talking was it? RG is right, this might be the biggest... most advertised game ever.M99 wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixl31324UxE

The actual gameplay I got from that.

Looks like GTAV but in the future. Obviously it's stupid to judge before it's released.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Said it for a while that as much as I want this to succeed I see it as ending up as a disappointment.
The developers are outstanding and very dedicated and whilst this is one of the most ambitious projects I have seen,
ultimately I feel it will have everything but not execute a lot of its features well from its core gameplay to driving to blending it all seamlessly into one.
Something seems rather off and intangible about the gameplay mostly when I see it but would not be the least bit surprised if it does be a knockout

They have, that's just not what the trailer was about.
Gameplay is out there from various places, you just have to look for it.
Also for those who can't be bothered i watched Skill Up's preview (he played 5 hours) and he said the gunplay felt very good but the swords you can use didn't feel as good but wasn't sure if it's something they'll improve upon.

Btw those who want more information read the first post in this thread https://www.resetera.com/threads/cyberpunk-2077-hands-on-impressions.232897/
Go past the Youtube links and read the bullet points, some of it is just press opinions but there's a lot of interesting info there.
I was going to copy it but it's way too long lol.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
• Characters weren't heard speaking any repeated lines of dialogue
That's impressive. Wonder how they managed that? Surely you can't have infinite amount of dialogues
• 4 hours is beyond barely scratching the surface
rip
• There are so many choices and options that it feels overwhelming; before you learn to take things in stride
2x rip
• Side-quests are extremely varied
not surprised at all.
• Blessing Adeoye Jr. theorized that all 3 Life Paths may lead to 3 mostly different game experiences for the entirety of the game
Requires 3 playthroughs then.
• It is 100% an RPG first, shooter second
thankgod for that
• Your jaw will drop when you see the Skill Perk Tree - it is like a humongous spider web - far larger than the Attribute Tree shown last year
fml
This definitely needs to be played on PS5 reading how detailed it is.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
I imagine they came up with a lot unique dialogue for characters that seems infinite in short bursts, but you'll probably encounter repeated lines the more you play.
Reading and watching around, the impression I got was that combat wasn't anything amazing but the sheer number of choices and the detail in the setting was impressive. Although with everyone ending up on the same mainline quest, I can't imagine there'll be that many differences between stories. The same events will likely occur but one player might go for combat while the other might not.
Sounds cool, though. Only thing holding me back from getting excited is the first person POV.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Is there any option to switch to 3rd person like Fallout/Elder Scrolls?
Your character is so customizable but you'll hardly see him in full. I always explore in 3rd person in Bethesda games and switch to first person for combat.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Nah it's only first person, they explained a long time ago why this is and it's pretty much a gameplay reason.
I can't remember the specifics of it though, the only thing i game which is 3rd person perspective is the Cars/Bikes.
Obviously cutscenes as well.

Thank god they're not downgrading, was worried they're going to pull a Ubisoft and prioritize console performance over graphical fidelity.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
When Geralt finds Ciri she refers to being transported in the future accurately describing what you see in CP2077 so it would be her more likely than Geralt who is not like to appear. Hopefully fan service will be in their minds though.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077
Driving reminds me of the first Watch Dogs. Not great.
But the rest of it I don't have many problems with.
This game could go either way, I'll wait to read some reviews once it is released before I spend my money on it.

Everything looks fine apart from driving, agreed. I'm not a big fan of futuristic settings though, but oh well.

This won't be as popular as Witcher cause of the setting but I have been wary of this from the beginning.Myesyats wrote:Everything looks fine apart from driving, agreed. I'm not a big fan of futuristic settings though, but oh well.
