Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
So I emailed my trustee suppliers if they can do a cheeky early release. Man replied saying
"Being honest these days we're having to sign more and more "street date agreements" whereby we're restricted from sending games before X date ahead of release"
Most likely other distributors have to sign that as well.

Who said that? Sometimes they dispatch 2 days earlier and you get it but it's rare.
Just wait for the release date ffs

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
soon
I can't shake the feeling that Sekiro is gonna review worse than BB and DS, idk why. I mean, I can see it garnering praise for being different enough from Dark Souls and BB whilst also providing that familiar Fromsoftware gameplay too, but I can't help but think from some of the stuff I've seen it looks a little too..idk, non-cohesive? seems like there amy be too much going on. I'm still sure it's going to be a very well received and fun game. Personally I'll be surprised if it's on the same level as DS and BB but I'm hoping it does hit that same tier for me.
Nioh was a real good game though and considering I was comparing that to DS it's weird but I'm gonna hold Sekiro to that standard now, this looks way more Nioh than Nioh did DS.
Think TGC took money for this today so hoping they ship it tomorrow for Thursday.

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Sekiro’s currently sitting at 92 on Opencritic, 90 on Metacritic. Somehow, I expected it to be in the 90-93 range exactly.

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
nice
I was hoping for something like that but wasn't sure
looks disgustingly difficult, plebs need not apply
have a feeling it's gonna frustrate the shit out me too
combat looks way more deep than the other games

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
PS4 1080p has Cleaner shadows compared to base X1, 30fps cap bad frame pacing with noticeable stutter and judder
this is disgraceful though, From are too experienced and big to be putting out stuff like this in 2019

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Some hype for you.... one of the guys at Easy Allies
Hell makes me want to play it myself
Sekiro is masterful. From its world design to its brilliant combat it has just about everything I could want and it feels like a culmination of From Soft’s best ideas. I haven’t been this enchanted since Dark Souls 1. I can’t get enough and can’t stop thinking about it.

I’m neither reviewing or finished with Sekiro and I feel like I could write 10,000 words on it. Hell, I could probably write 10,000 words on one boss fight. I get very excited about games but Sekiro has made that passion burn just a bit brighter. Losing sleep because of it lol

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
I think the only thing which makes it similar to Nioh is the setting.
But we'll find out when we play it.
One thing for sure is that it won't be as easy as Nioh.

Its way different to Nioh, the similarity is only that its set in Feudal Japan.
There are no RPG elements like levelling up your character, its an action adventure game with Souls like difficulty, level design and enemies. The combats looks even more faster paced than Bloodborne.
I think this is why Souls veterans are finding it hard, before one could grind to level up or get the right weapons and armors to clear a level. You can't do that this game. Just pure strategy.

This is very very unlike soulsborne games
but it is also very much like soulsborne games.
