Myazaki must have thought: "you know what. I am not going to make another Dark Souls, but let me just put in a boss from there for the fans"

you're officially further than me ffs
need to jump back on at some point, but oddly I feel no motivation to play it

I think you've been locked out of something btw
demon of hatred = the sculptor, you're supposed to eavesdrop on some conversation with Emma and him and Emma and Kuro to get another memory that lets you go back to Hirata Estate to fight Prime Owl
dunno if you can still get it somehow from Emma

Most disgusting boss in the entire game....yet (not sure if any worse)
Took me like 10 tries and i had to farm experience to unlock few skills for it. In the end i closed my eyes and slashed at his 3rd phase.
he is basically Laurence from Bloodborne lol. Won't spoil it if you don't already know but man the entire story is sad. Feels like most NPC have sad quests other than Kurato.
I am surprised you have no motivation. I think it's an incredible game. I don't want to finish it because there won't be any other like this for a while.

Yea locked out of 2nd hirata memory. Apparently owl there is even worse than original owl. My mate is stuck on him atm.
Nah there is no way to get it until ng+ since you have to get it before divine dragon.

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Nah I looked up endings and stuff to make sure I didn't miss anything when I got towards the end so I know all about story, characters etc
final boss looks ridiculous
I have that, Owl, Demon of Hatred and the Divine Dragon left and I'm done but I think Owl and Demon of Hatred are gonna take me a while
fought Prime Owl a few times and he smashed me ffs
I think the NPC quests in this have been shit tbh besides like one, worse than Bloodborne in that department somehow
It's a very good game but for me it's worse than all Souls games and not even close to Bloodborne, still probably end up my GOTY though
was sick again for like a week so didn't want to play and get frustrated, I also didn't like how they recycled bosses and mini-bosses in the game

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
divine dragon is basically bed of chaos. Cool boss though.
Others are all pos.
really wish i knew about the 2nd memory. Missed out on 2 beads too. Got 38/40 lol
NPC quests are all quite short-ish. Kurato was my fav maybe along with blackhat and the old lady whose dad was a fish feeder ffs

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Do you ever get burnt out on games like these, RG? I impulsively decided to purchase all of the DLCs for NioH, and I got so burnt out on that game that I haven't even been slightly motivated to pick it up again since sometime last year. I haven't even touched the DLCs, and likely never will. I liked NioH, initially, but my brain needs some variety in order to receive sustained stimulation from games.

Nope. If anything these games brings back the joy of gaming. I mean i even want to go back to RDR2 after this.
it may not appear that way but fromsoft games and nioh are very different. I can understand with Nioh because it barely had any variation. Even i didn't get the DLC even though i liked the game

There aren't any other games this year i am looking forward to so probably will clear back log starting from RDR2. That's if GL don't force me to get Days gone.

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
If that's what you want to do then that's fair enough, just don't want you to force something because we like it
There's quite a few games coming out that I'm looking forward to but I'm not sure i can actively vouch them to you tbh.
Although i think you should play Metro Exodus at some point once it's cheaper.

I think he should just forget about his backlog and stick to whichever new game he decides to actually play through to the end. With his peculiar pattern of playing games, not to mention how long it takes him to complete games, I think his backlog is nothing more than dying embers of distraction at this point

I think that's the case with everyone though, we all have massives backlog we keep claiming we are going to finish off and almost never really do
Also if there's nothing coming he wants to play he might as well try and finish stuff he already has.

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Well, I don't know how much of his backlog he's actually played, but he's mentioned his backlog for several years now, and I know he's at least skipped through the best ones in it without a second thought, so for the sake of productivity, I suggest he just plays the games that he's actually motivated to play. It's up to him, of course, but I'm under the impression that he's not very open-minded, nor patient when it comes to games he's unfamilliar with, so it seems like a waste of time to go through a ridiculously long backlog just to get frustrated with tutorials and early impressions - when he could spend that time playing something he's more comfortable with, without getting burnt out. Time is of the essence when completing a game takes 5x longer than the average person
-I don't mean to offend you by saying any of this, RG. Just trying to help. I've gone through my backlog once or twice and made genuine attempts to play games that simply didn't appeal to me, or caught my attention, and it was a waste of time.
I don't have much of a backlog, myself. I've been pretty efficient at going back and completing unfinished games, as well as DLCs during droughts like this, and I've abandoned the ones that I decided weren't worthwhile. Off the top of my head, the ones I haven't finished are We Happy Few and NioH. I haven't decided whether or not to just delete them and move on, yet.
