Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
I wonder how Firmino would be in a midfield role with Sturridge up front, I think our attack suffers from the lack of a playmaker in midfield. The closer to the opponent's box we get, the worse our midfielders become. Leaves too much to do to the forwards. Edit: Buster said basically the same thing just there.
Anyway, we matched City, I think it's still an OK performance.

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
UNL-Break couldn't have come any earlier. Kloppy needs to sort out some serious shit. Yeah, the midfield is definitely right there at the top. Also, what's this fascination/obsession for playing the (almost) the same team game after game after game???
Not really disappointed with the season so far. But we really, I mean really, need to improve.

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
If Milner is injured we are in big shit.. Should we go for Ramsey in january? There were rumours recently we want him because his contract is running out in the summer, dunno how legit were those rumours though. But we need someone in midfield who can do something in attacking phase of the game, Ramsey would cost a low fee in january so it wouldn't be a big gamble imo.

October 20: Huddersfield (Away)
October 24: Red Star (Home)
October 27: Cardiff (Home)
Great fixtures to regain the momentum. Anything less than Nine Points and #KloppOut

With Milner out, that takes a great holding CM out of the equation. I can imagine Fabinho, Keita and maybe even Shaq getting their time.

Lallana is (reportedly) available for the next game. I wonder if he is any good after such lengthy injury.

Adam Lallana is back in full training after his 11th injury since joining Liverpool, but it will be difficult to return to a regular role.Nishankly wrote:Lallana goddam stay fit
The 30-year-old midfielder has been cleared to play against Huddersfield.
Does that mean he’ll be playing a 90-minute role? Highly doubtful. But there’s a chance he can return to being a good rotation player for the team.

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
What a game Wijnaldum had last night. He destroyed Boateng like Messi did in 2015 and scored a beautiful goal. He has been really great this season. He was only able to play great in the big games in the past but this season he has been consistent.

I would go for it. It would take a bit pressure off Salah, playing him a bit wider and use the space created by Studge and others.
4
2
3(Salah Firmino Mane)
1 (Studge)
2
3(Salah Firmino Mane)
1 (Studge)
And I think next few games are the best games where we can experiment a bit and concentrate on developing a different game plan than our usual 4-3-3

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
4231 can work against light-weight teams like the ones we will face in the next three games. But against more sturdy, combative teams we definitely need three midfielders. I remember Klopp once tried the 4321/4312:
Alisson
TAA Joe VVD Robertson
Fabinho Naby Milner/Wijnaldum/Henderson
Mane Firmino
Sturridge
TAA Joe VVD Robertson
Fabinho Naby Milner/Wijnaldum/Henderson
Mane Firmino
Sturridge
Alisson
TAA Joe VVD Robertson
Fabinho Naby Milner/Wijnaldum/Henderson
Mane/Firmino
Salah Sturridge

Fabinho Naby Milner/Wijnaldum/Henderson
Mane/Firmino
Salah Sturridge

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
"James Milner has made a lightning recovery from injury and could make the Liverpool starting line-up against Huddersfield Town on Saturday. And in more good news for boss Jurgen Klopp, both Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk look certain to be fit, despite injury problems on international duty."
Is Milner human? I'm convinced by now he is a machine.

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
El Cujo must be proud of Wijnaldum. I remember when he was on the forum he was hyping him like crazy before he even came to Liverpool. I don't think he was even at Newcatle at that point, think he was still in PSV. I remember he was always saying Liverpool should sign him, imagine how much he would hype him this season. And how much he'd hype van Dijk as well, because they both Dutch. He was always hyping our players like McAgger , I think it was him that made Joe Allen look like the new Iniesta+Xavi, can't imagine what would happen with Wijnaldum now. I miss those 2 posters.

Dejan Lovren is a target for Barcelona this January as they look for a Central Defender (Aguilar, Mundodeportivo)

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
Keita was carried off the pitch while playing for Guinea, hamstring injury I think.
VVD was playing with injured ribs
Milner injured right before the NT break
Mane broke his thumb playing for Senegal
Salah came off injured for Egypt
There's been a lot of injury drama these days, NT breaks really aren't lucky for us..
Well, VVD and Salah are cleared and should play on the weekend, Mane should at least make the bench if not even play but if he doesn't he will certainly be ready for the next one. Milner is rumoured to be even ready for the next match. Keita we don't know yet how long will he be out.

Re: LFC Season 2018/2019
Such a shitty timing for Keita to get injured... We had a few easy matchups and it was the perfect time for him to try to adapt more to the team. It's a shitty timing because we are missing someone creative in midfield and this easier schedule was a perfect timing for him to become that midfielder..
Well, I guess there's only one guy left to do it..
*the lights go out*
*LALLANA'S MUSIC STARTS*
