I remember watching Poulsen-Spearing pivot guide us to 8th spot. Depressed, miserable and with no hope I kept wondering whether this is rock bottom or not. Little did I know within 5 years we will touch the top again, We're playing in the CL again with purpose. Gone are the days when we need Manquillo to dive to secure a draw against Ludogorets at Anfield.

what a nostalgic feeling..the last time Pool were in a CL cup final, I remember my parents grounded me the day of the final for something that happened at School and refused to let me watch the game with my friends (of which numerous were Pool fans)

I had to listen to it on the radio ffs

I was robbed from seeing Loserpool fans' hearts shatter that night, but nothing will deny me this time

At long last Real Madrid have a worthy opponent in the final. atletico and Juventus are clown teams. when we crush liverpool, the satisfaction will be immense as i have no doubt Klopp amd Salah will make the match extremely difficult for us. the other two its a formality at this point.

We could very well lose here if we're not careful. and thats exciting somehow.

I look forward to the cl final.

I remember to have refused the invitation to watch CL 2007 with same people of 2005 because I was pessimist about revival .... and in fact Milan beat Liverpool that time.
I can't still forget Milan fans' celebrating on the streets late into the night here, terrible if you aren't part of it (luckily I waited just 3 years..) , things seen just for WC 06 and for CL won by Italian teams (peesonally I can remembe just 03 07 and that magic 2010 . . Scudetti don't create same social frenzy here).
For me the recap of that night will be always : me to study Latin into the night while Milan fans make a mess outside.
And my blond high school girl dressed in red-back the next day to remember Odi et Amo by Catullus
GL madrid fans are really reliable guys though , I called for extreme help twice in a year and they made a fantastic job. Highly recommended. Let me know if you are looking for additional information

Easily the worst CL final of all time. Porto-Monaco had more quality.

I doubt I watch it, but I think Liverpool will bring me home.

I disagree. It's going to be a great attacking match-up, much better than Madrid-Atleti in 2016, that's for sure.

I think Zagadka made a great point in the other thread that defensive teams don't really trouble Madrid so Liverpool being very attacking minded, with killer high pressing and deadly counters might be the worst match up for RM of all teams, except for Barca perhaps.
