His defence is definitely down but more so his defensive effort, I think in the finals last season he went in with that lockdown defence mentality, burnt out by the fourth quarter and got stomped each game

This season, looks like he could care less about playing defence. Cavs give up a ton of points

I don't think he can give that effort anymore, it's easy to forget how old he is because he doesn't play like it very often.

He used to (still does), mask a lot of his team's deficiencies

Now were starting to see him pay the price of being on these poorly thrown together teams, playing GM/Coach himself and not having a proper coach, himself.

They did a Hail Mary a the trade deadline yet didn't really improve. Rightfully lost today

Yeah but he hasn't all season really and this was the time.

Sometimes things just go away very fast, I genuinely think this is the start of his decline defensively.

He'll still be dominant offensively but he needs more support defensively.

Lakers are a front-runner, never on his own though and I can't see him to be the first person to jump and sign. It'll take a Paul George + to get things going and to be honest, the West is much, much tougher than any team in the East he could go to and make the finals with

I'm still staying put in saying the 76ers certainly make the most sense
-Simmons & Embiid, both dominate in their positions
-A ton of cap space to really build the team how they (LeBron) wants

OKC have done their homework here, putting Paul George on Ingles strangles the Utah offence.

If allowed to be an occasional ball handling and hitting 3s it takes Utah offence to another level.

Stop him and it slows down their offence even if Mitchell scores 25 a game.

TWolves lost by three while KAT put up 8 or 9 points and none of their big players went to 20+ points All of this away from home. Meanwhile Harden put up 44

This was basically the Harden-Capela show, everyone else decided to take the game off offensively.

But holy shit was Capela dominant on both ends, his best performance in his career so far.

Wolves could’ve won that game if Thibs wasn’t such a fraud. Had Towns on the mistmatch against Harden/Gordon a ton of times but instead Crawford and Teague are taking the worst jump shots of all time.

Rockets won’t miss as many shots as they did yesterday though

He can be a top player but he's a dummy. Personally, I feel like this is the very best we'll see from this Raptors team. Paying Ibaka and Lowry 30M a year a piece if not a recipe for long term success.

Lowry wanted to leave last summer but no one came for him. After we played the Spurs he talked about how he wanted to go there but no one called him.

That and the fact that he's thrown up enough bricks to pave half of Toronto seems a good enough reason to think about shipping him off should an opportunity arise.

If we don't make the finals, this season is a failure (and I don't think we will)

Fair enough, I wasn't aware of any of that. I wouldn't want him around either

I mean, I think they're really pretty similar.

You look at their stats, as far as I recall, they're not very different.

I do think PG13 has a higher ceiling though, and obviously with a better 3pt game he can potentially elevate higher than Butler on a game to game basis as well -- that was seen last night

But really they're pretty close to the same level for me.
