Who will progress ?
Re: UCL R16 : Real Madrid Vs Paris Saint-Germain
Girona and Villareal gave Madrid way more issues than PSG did at home. Really poor performance from them and once again proves that Emery is still a tactical banana.

No breaks. Back to back CL team is a legendary team and I want you to make it a third by winning all the big teams, leaving no question for pansy Barça fans that you are indeed better than them, period.
Justice for el tercero
Re: UCL R16 : Real Madrid Vs Paris Saint-Germain
You got to be careful as to which Madrid team you are referring to. There is the clueless losers with a no tactic coach that we have seen in liga most of this season and several of the CL games. Then there is the very experienced professional team (minus a striker! Lol) with a tactical genius behind them that played today. Difference is night and day.
If this professional team continues, the only teams that could offer competition are City and Barca!

Emery is a perfect coach for QSG lol a serial loser, a mental cripple and a tactical twerp.
I don't get why they didnt sack him already when he failed to win the leauge and bottled a 4-0 lead over Barcelona in the CL last season
Now his team has done absolutely nothing against a limping Madrid.... totally embarrasing

The Demon of Carthage wrote:In all honesty Thimmy, I was just toying with Firenze. But truth is, I do rate Spurs higher than United. Poch is better than Mourinho and Kane is light years ahead of Lukaku. I mean, even comparing them to each other is a crime in itself. The goalkeeping position is the only area which United has the upper hand.
Out of the four remaining Brexit teams in the competition (not counting Chelsea since they're most definitely going to get murdered at the Camp Nou) United is the team I would want to face the most simply because they're the weakest English side in the competition.
Liverpool have Salah, Spurs have Kane, City have the best manager in the world and United have a dab merchant, 9 defensive midfielders...and De Gea.
Such massive disrespect for a team who has been 2nd in the league campaign for the entire season.
Anyway, I will let it slide cos even if I conjure up stats and player by player comparisons and argue which of our players would ideally get into a Spurs team on sheer talent basis, the useless coward of a manager we have will make them play like utter jobbers in every big match he manages and disprove my point.
So, yea why bother.
As for us, if we get past Sevilla and whatever team we get after that, at least we give a good account of ourselves. That's all.

PSG usually play best when they play first game at home. See the ripping apart of Bayern and Barca the last 2 years. I bet it would've been different had they played in Paris first.

It might take the, 10 years to win UCL just like it did Chelski. Real Madrid also needed 11 years to win the decima,

PSG don't have an elite team mentality yet. I think they will win UCL within the next 5 years. enough time to build experience and big team mentality.

Never rated Emery, but then he wins the EL twice wasnt it with Sevilla? Didnt watch them much under him but so I thought he had become decent... so what is it, if Emerys that bad, he surely couldnt have done that? I guess luck can be a big part as Zidane has shown Since Sevilla quality wise wasnt that great during that run?

I really didn't mean to disrespect you guys, and if you feel that I did, please accept my sincere apologies, Glory.
I feel like we both agree that Spurs have the better manager. So with that out of the way, and while I totally agree that you have many great players, the system implemented by Mourinho is designed in a way to cripple them and refrain them from unleashing their full potential.
Spurs don't have WC players in every position, but they have a shrewd tactical plan which they follow to perfection. And that's, in my humble view, the reason why I think Spurs are superior. Pochettino have instilled enough passion and hunger into them to become fearless and play and look like a team.
Mourinho on the other hand is a specialist in sucking the life out of his players with his negative, cowardly approach. He truly has a toxic personality that creates rifts in pretty much any dressing room he enters.
But in no way did I mean to disrespect you. You're an institution in European Football and have nothing but admiration for you. And aside from Barcelona and City, I don't think you should be afraid of any opponent in the competition

Glory has spent a fair share of his time on this forum bashing Real Madrid for no apparent reason. Especially, before he became a full-time Barca, part-time Man United fan. I think he'll survive

Noworries. Absolutely no need to apologize friend.
Calling United weak is the only part I have a problem with in your post. Even I agree with other points. Our defense is significantly weak and our defensive record has got a lot to do with De gea. Sadly most United fans cant actually see that and credit Mourinho for building a defensively organized side or some shit.
But then again its Mourinho's tactics that are making us look far worse than we actually are.
Sanchez transfer disrupted the entire team, fked with Martial and Pogba's good run. Every player it seems is out of form and the whole team is playing way below par.
And this whole episode is coinciding with the good runs for both Liverpool and Spurs. Both had spells during the season where they were crap too.
Anyway, I dont know how and why Madrid fans are finding offense here. I come in peace, brothers. Besides, it was you guys started this whole conversation in the first place, mind.

Right. It wasn't that long ago, when I thought you were the most obnoxious poster on here, with your constant digs towards Real Madrid that were nothing but spiteful. You probably remember me calling you Gloryhunter as well, right? I was not surprised when you suddenly changed allegiance to Barcelona I don't know why you'd attempt to deny that, but whatever floats your boat man

Re: UCL R16 : Real Madrid Vs Paris Saint-Germain
Proof? Even if I have said things, there must have been some lead up. If not I apologize. Yes, I was angry when Madrid and Madrid fans started acting United is a club they can bully in the transfer market. I must have said some things in frustration. But then again, cant think of an episode where I acted without reason.
Its sad you find me as an obnoxious poster. I try to be reasonable as much as possible and only talk when necessary because I know I am not that good a poster on the forum, not someone who has the flair or even knowledge of some of the others.
You see the crest is changed to Barca and think I have switched permanently my allegiance? Buddy, can you point to one post that I made in the Barca section or again in the la liga thread in the general section?
If I am a Barca fan and a glory hunter how come I am the only one posting these days in the United section trying to keep it alive and only talking about United related things in the general one?
Anyway, This pointless discussion has ran its course. Peace.

There is no proof, since the search feature on this forum is borderline useless and only dates back half a year or so. Yeah, I think you were obnoxious in the past, and your posts regarding RM were not Firenze-esque banterous or funny, they were simply spiteful and I have no clue what instigated them. My only point was that, based on your past transgressions, DoC shouldn't feel bad about offending your favoured club since you had no qualms about doing to same thing to his. I didn't mean to start a drama episode here, and I don't mind you at all, but yeah I did think you were obnoxious in the past. The gloryhunter remark was just a reaction to your actions, as I remember you rallying some of the other Man United fans to start bashing Real Madrid, and that was something I'd expect from Barca or Atletico Madrid fans, not Man United fans. Imagine my surprise when you changed your club crest

Nobody is offending anyone. Its because of some preconceived notion you have about me you are coming to some bizarre conclusions here.
Now even when I say it wasnt intentional and I dont have anything personal, it seems I cant convince you. So just leave it there.
And this.
You sure you talking about me? Like seriously?

Yes, I'm serious. Don't you remember any of it? I don't recall which thread it was in, but the majority of the replies were from Man United fans (you, B-Mac and Red are the names I remember), and I don't care enough to manually search through the most likely ones. How about we let bygones be bygones? My second favorite club is Arsenal, but I don't really mind Man United. Most of my friends are United supporters, and they are easily the English team I've watched the most over the past decade and a half. My friends keep me up to date with Man United news, whether I'm interested or not

Re: UCL R16 : Real Madrid Vs Paris Saint-Germain
UEFA have opened disciplinary proceedings against PSG after Real Madrid's trip to Paris on Tuesday night in the Champions League. The club's organisation has been called into question with fans bringing flares into the stadium along with other offences such as the use of lasers and the blocking of stairs.
French newspaper, L'Equipe, revealed on Saturday that the French side went out of their way to cause as much hassle for the Spanish side as they could. The report suggests that they asked authorities not to provide a police escort for Real Madrid from the hotel they were staying in to the stadium before the game.
The request was made by an authority at PSG to the police headquarters just hours before the game but it was turned down. The intention, however, was clear. The police could not possibly say yes to the request as it would break protocol for all teams that travel to play games in Paris.
