Re: La Liga Discussion 2017/18 part 3
You couldn't beat Spurs over 180 mins ffs, Talking about Girona finishing top 6, I'd question where you would finish before even talking about Giroud

I ain't taking the piss at the PL, love that league but I'm genuinely serious that the Chelsea and Utd we saw mid week would lose to this Girona side. They are genuinely a good team.
Arsenal would probably beat them. 65% certain.

Girona represents Man City in LaLiga. Alot of huffing and puffing but in in the end way off the top

So he missed the first 5 games and then went on a scoreless run for weeks, and now he's just 3 goals shy from catching Messi and has just overtaken Suarez.
This guy is the greatest goalscorer of my lifetime. Absolutely sensational!

Scoring 4 goals against Watford who have conceded 55 is a lot harder then scoring 4 against Girona who have condeded 36.

Re: La Liga Discussion 2017/18 part 3
But the real reason for Girona finishing top 6 in EPL is ofcourse:
City Football Group, the owners of Manchester City, hold 44.3 per cent of the shares in Girona. Another 44.3 per cent is in the hands of another group led by Pere Guardiola - Pep's brother. Tebas stopped short of saying that he wanted to block this move but he did highlight the amendments required after City loaned five players to Girona in the summer.

Unacceptable constant jibes at the GOAT League from the previous page.

Zero league title Sevilla, 1 league title in 5 years Madrid, 1 league title in (insert the years I can't remember) Atleti and Valencia. Stat padding against scrubs indeed.

Not sure how much Pep has gotta do with Girona, but its good to know, the ppl managing it cant be bad
Yes what a surprise, 11 points now and it looks very safe now
Ronaldo goals... fair enough I think, but just watched the highlights, just shows again how much Benzema works to feed Ronaldo so often, and overlooked.

To be fair, this was one of Benzema's top performances in recent time. If he creates, there's no problem. We all know he doesn't score, so when he doesn't create, and does nothing but give away possession, people aren't happy.
