Yeah but Grevinho had more finish in him than creativity, while Dembele is the opposite.

Dembele more so looks to set his players up, instead of rushing towards the goal to score like Grevinho, totally different mentality and use of skills.

Actually Gervinho at Arsenal had dazzling skills but his final balls, whether passes or just finishing was so poor that he was eventually sold to Roma. I didn't watch him at Roma to see how he developed but my observation of him during his short stint at Arsenal gives me a déjà vu with Dembélé.

Don't get me wrong I'd still give Dembélé another season but if I was a betting man I'd bet against him being WC like I consider Hazard or Neymar.

I think he has the potential to be WC but his mentality might stand in the way.

I'd say we are interested in Griezmann because Valverde doesnt believe in Dembele THAT much.

Not true. He was shit before his injury too. Probably his best match was this last one, and even then it wasn't anything other than mediocre. Cuenca had more impact FFS.

Back in the day, Neymar got so much shit and many people doubted him even though he was much more proven and looked more mature.

Dembele actually doesn't get that much criticism compared to Neymar yet he's been 'proven' in Europe already so I guess time will tell and we'll see how he does.

But if Neymar got critcised so badly and endured it then I don't see how Dembele should be an exception.

Boy is getting early minutes in crucial CL matches. Scored his first goal as well.

I still think he loses possession far too often, but his defensive contribution tonight was really positive.

Messi probably recognizes himself in dembele as well. Quiet, humble, eager to learn. In some ways it reminds me of how Ronaldinho taught Messi. Just like Messi did when Neymar just arrived. He truly is a leader and a mentor.

Boy is so talented, hopefully next season he has better luck. Bizare how some people really cant see his talent.

It’s really simple. People just don’t understand his injury nor the extent of it. He came back too soon and even when he is fit, it still will take a while to get speed back and he may never again be able to cut, make sharp turns like he was able to before.

Just as a comparison both Jese and Canales at Real Madrid were once considered can’t miss stars yet they both got the same injury and were never the same afterwards. Both never came close to being the talents they were orojected to be.

And there is an added risk, as in the case of Canales. That is the risk of an injury reoccurrence or another injury due to trying to compensate.
