Don't think Dortmund will sell no matter the price, it's too late in the transfer window and they have no time to find a replacement.

Also Sports all clubs agree terms before agreeing a fee, it may not be right but it's common practice.

What is there to learn when 50% of their players are from La Masia , another 40% are paid release clauses where you don't really negotiate at all and then a 10% are straight up 'pay whatever they ask' to get your man , such as Ibra , Villa , Neymar etc etc

Now let's see where Dembele case falls under... not La Masia ; no release clause that is known of , at least reportedly ;

Btw, mundo deportivo is reporting that mbappe has agreed personal terms with barcelona. The sale of neymar convinced him to come as he is sure he'll be a starter in barca. So, there'll be no need buy dembele anyway.

Mbappe makes more sense tbh, would fit perfectly on that left side. With Dembele you would have to move Suarez or Messi to the left side which is awful.

Btw, i've never really liked dembele anyway. Seems like a headless chicken to me, sort of a less agressive di maria tbh. I hope barca don't touch him with a 20ft pole. Mbappe on the other hand is a better prospect imo. I'd rather spend 130M for him than spend 100M on dembele. Tbh, i don't even think mbappe is all that but at least, i'm willing to take my chances on him. Theres just no world class proven attacker out there anymore.

These young guys shouldn't move so soon to Barça and Real, they probably are not mature enough yet do deal with the pressure, Barça should buy the likes of Griezmann, Dybala and Coutinho who will have an immediate impact while still being young enough.

Marcelo bechler the guy who broke the neymar news first has just said that coutinho to barca is a done deal. Meaning, we would only have money left for only either mbappe or dembele. Hmm, seems the neymar transfer saga has done the guys career an elevator.

Neymar came here when he was 21 and it was fine. As long as Messi is here, it's probably better for them, since he's going to be the one who gets singled out the most, which allows the younger players to not feel too much pressure.

I dont think the pressure can get to you that much if you are in a big team surrounded by great players especially in barca where everyone seems to be generous. That being said, barca will be better of with griezmann and coutinho tbh, instead of all these kids who've barely played 50 matches in their career. We don't even know if they're injury prone ffs.

It's not only about the age, Neymar was mature as *bleep* at 21, won libertadores leading Santos, led Brazil 2012 olympics team, won 2013 confeds as the best player by far and was the best player not playing in Europe for about 3 years.

Mbappe has 1 good season and Dembele about 2. They're in the perfect spot for their age right now. Also, Neymar is a once in a lifetime talent, like Messi, these guys plays at 17 in teams like Barcelona and Brazil, but they are the ultimate exception.

And both of them are slightly overrated (by Madrid fans mainly).

I watched them both (not too closely), and while I thought they were talented, I still didn't feel that the hype surrounding them was justified.

But the reason I'm not totally against them coming to Madrid (like I firmly was with Pogba) is that there are no promising strikers out there anymore -  That and the fact that I have had enough with Benzema and Bale. I'm desperate enough at this point to be willing to take a gamble with Mbappe than endure another season with those two.

But I can tell you right now they won't be another CR7 or Messi. Heck, I even have problems picturing them reaching Neymar's level.

They're just the two brightest bulbs in an otherwise broken chandelier.

You ask for permission to talk to the player from the club and then start talks/negotiations with the player and finally talk fee with the club once the player is on board...  that's the common practice.  It's actually illegal to talk to a player without club consent, which is why Monaco complained about City and another regarding Mbappe earlier this summer because they hadn't asked permission first.
