Nah he was fouled hard. It just wasn't a red. That's on the ref. Should have been a foul and a yellow.

Re: BREAKING: Mbappe to PSG
Good debut from Mbappe, looks like he has 10 years experience of playing at the top level. Intriuging how high his footballing intelligence is considering his age.
Refs' decisions were mind-boggling at times, though.

A bit late to the party, but did this guy say at his press conference a few weeks ago that he grew up watching Ronaldinho playing for PSG? Wasn't he like 3 years old when Ronaldinho left for Barca ?

Re: BREAKING: Mbappe to PSG
His father is a huge PSG fan. I'm sure he showed him all the dinho games he could. PSG went through a dark period for about 5-6 years there. So most PSG fans, like other fan bases, would reminisce and live in the past as opposed to the present in order to cope.
It's not unusual.

Re: BREAKING: Mbappe to PSG
As an avid OM fan, i know my friends' kids idolize the players from the "golden years" as we've sucked hard mostly since. They know more about them and how they played than I do lol... I'm talking guys like Voller, Boksic, Abedi Pele, etc.
So i get it. When Mbappe was a kid, PSG were terrible. So i'm sure his father incessantly talked and showed him videos on the teams with Dinho, Pauleta and Rai.
That's the power of youtube and other video services.

Lip service to PSG. Apart from Cristiano who is always honest about his ambitions most footballers lie all the time.

Re: BREAKING: Mbappe to PSG
I mean, come on Jibers, Mbappe is in the title of the thread. Also, I could believe Iniesta would have loved Laudrup as a player as he would have definitely seen and "remember" him as a child. Same way I remember Redondo, all misty eyed and not actually recalling his obvious flaws. Also, Valk was talking about Mbappe.
Hala Madrid.

Re: BREAKING: Mbappe to PSG
The most impressive things are that he can play literally any role on the attack... and his best performances have been in the biggest games. He ups his level when the pressure goes up. At a young age, most phenoms have a hard time in these CL games where it's physical and you're facing WC players and teams. Not Mbappe. He shows why he's hyped so much.

Wait... Now people are convinced?
It is so god damn obvious that he's a generational player when you watch him.
Gonna pain me for the rest of my life this one.

Maybe you can get him in a few years?

Re: BREAKING: Mbappe to PSG
I'm having a hard time with it too Freeza... and it would be fine if he didn't come because Ronaldo was blocking him. Fine. But it's Bale and Benzema... ffs.

Of course Madrid can get him... in 3-4 years since he has a 5 year contract. And that's assuming he wants to leave at that point. PSG will probably throw some outrageous contract at him too.

I think it'll be once he grows up.
It's always hard to stay in your own country I think. Especially if you have that god given gift. Usually I'd want to travel and live different places. Maybe that's just my Danish mentality. Maybe French people feel different.
It could also very much depend on what challenges he'd seek. If the French league doesn't improve with PSG, he could seek new challenges at some point.
