Re: 2017/18 Summer Transfer Rumors Mk. I
Yes of course, having work rate is great. I just meant that after the crosses and the work rate there is not much top quality there. It's why Conte really liked him in the NT. He is tactically smart and never stops running back and forth to defend and attack.
For sure a useful player, just not WC or anything like that. He is sort of like Pedro in his directness and effort, but if Pedro is more of a forward then Candreva is 100% winger.
He has a bit of dribbling, decent passing, great crosses and runs forever.

People overrate work rate imo, to the point that as long as you work hard then everything else is ok.
Not for me, if you are crap i couldn't care less how hard you try.

He is definitely good enough though, he was a top player at Lazio and a consistent performer for Italy and Inter (where the demand is higher than at Lazio). Simone Pepe is an example of all work rate with not enough quality, Candreva makes the cut in terms of quality for most teams.

Isn't United after an Inter winger as well?

True that.

I would love to see Kondogbia at Newcastle and your reaction after one game when it comes to work rate. He really likes to sit down when he is playing. Some people said he is talented and has good skills regarding dribbling, but it's fkin useless if you can't even run 10 meters. I would pick Candreva even without a leg, because at least he is trying. And like Rincon said, Candreva isn't brainless and has decent quality to make it into any squad in EPL. Not sure if he could be the main main during the season, but he could be very useful (especially under someone like Conte).

Agreed. It can turn out to be worthless at the end of the day but not overrated.

rincon wrote:Candreva has the GOAT crosses, the best in the league by a lot of distance. It's basically his one top skill, 10 assists in the league and its probably all from crosses. For the rest he is all work rate.
Just a moment, he is at the same time both the king of "right crosses " and that of " mistaken crosses "
This because he always crosses, when he has the ball , he crosses, his life is based on crossing.
He'd be the typical FIFA player who use always the round taste even when he should use the X or the square
he gives goals and assist but he is also one who gets wrong much.
I think he is a sort of the winger Guarin, even though he is diligent tactically at least

keep dreaming
the man is a midfield genius that has that unique style of running up the pitch with the ball, no one in football does that as well, Inter gifted him to us, we aint selling
35 mln was great price two years ago , that was mercato where Higuain was sold to 40 I mean
Even now I 'd never pay 70 per Kovacic tbh
It's a BS imo.
Juve appreciates him , but they' are not the typical club that spend so much for a player ( Higuain was just because of Pogba money ) , expecially if he is young player not totally developed.
Glad to see him developing under Zidane, sincerely no regrets for his selling because we couldn't refuse it at that time ( even because it's hard saying no to Real ). But his replacement was the problem..

Yeah but the point this at the very top you cannot forget about flaws just because someone runs a little more. On lower levels, sure, but not at Barca, Madrid etc. Anyone can run around a lot like a headless chicken, however the real craft is far from it.

in any case , 1 Juventus player every 10 years or something is ok with me , don't want to be here again next summer with Marchisio asking us to sign him because Allegri told him to come with his parent the next morning or something
Milan made a first inquiry about Claudio Marchisio, who is dissatisfied with how Allegri is treating him at Juve. [RaiSport]

Candreva is the most Conte signing ever
He'd probably take him over a fit Robben.

Can't wait for the Marchisio for Montoleader straight swap to happen.
I'd borderline stop supporting Juventus if we sell Marchisio

his best days are behind him anyway IMO, good time to sell if you can get 30+ for him
then replace him with Fellaini
midfield 3 of Fellaini Pjanic and Matuidi

It doesn't matter. The very rumour triggers me Firenze
He actually looked very good in the opener. He's looking fit but he's had a hard run, tore his acl during the best season of his career (in my opinion).

ES & Dante already preparing their new memes ????
if we sell him to Milan, it's because Max don't care about him anymore, he's not part of the new project
he'll underperform at Milan, and do great at Juventus
keep this in mind
