I can always see cleaning ladies rushing to mop the floor, dusting off tables, then a bunch of scientists rustling around in white coats wearing rubber gloves, cleaning and arranging test tubes, calibrating the diverse oscillographs and such, hastily yet conscientously executing test readings, when I hear that some is "preparing an offer"

We're close to signing Konstantinos Mavropanos from PAS Giannina for £2.2m. 20-year-old centre back. Will be loaned straight to Werder Bremen.

Looks like he'll stay at Arsenal instead of a loan. Not sure which is worse though.

@elfmeter is the resident Werder fan so he'll be able to provide better scouting than me. I see Werder twice a year, when we trash them

It's a Mislintat signing. Apparently there's going to be a concerted effort to sign 18-22 year olds. Abdou Diallo of Mainz is another target.
