So, I did it. Bought 91 Van Basten. My god, he isn't quick, but he scores anything! He banged a left footed goal in the top corner while under immense pressure. The ball sticks to his feet and he scores so much. So I'm very happy.

Unfortunately, I can't afford Marchisio, Khedira or Higgy yet but Gomez, Milinkovic-Savic and Jorginho are doing the job right now.

That's awesome. I don't like the TOTW at all, no Immobile or El Sharaawy, so I'm just holding onto my coins right now.

I would still try Allan if you're looking for a different midfielder option, he's still a GOAT for me.

What is the rest of your team looking like right now?

There's a higgy IF, but it's very expensive right now. Will probably settle around 100-150k, which could be a decent option if you've got the coins. I thought Immobile would be there, but maybe EA didn't want too many Serie A options.

Only reason I haven't put in Allan is that I didn't have time. He'll probably replace Jorginho, as I quite like Savic at CDM right now. I think I'll grab Allan and Khedira once he drops in price.

I'm sitting at 145k coins, I think I'm just going to hold onto them for now and hope for some good SB rewards next week and hopefully a nice TOTW soon.

I'd love a Gomez IF, hands down my favourite player this FIFA (that I've used). He's like a poor man's right footed Messi

Perisic is amazing, even his 85 card.

Hopefully they do produce some decent TOTW's soon. Although, Ashley Young looks a decent card this week, especially as a sub CM.

Gomez got so many IF's last year, sure he'll get one soon.

Eder looks damn good for a cheap card

Eder was my highest scorer on Fifa 17 and I had an insane team..he's a GOAT budget card. Used him a bit on 18 too and he seemed as good. His finishing is legit.

Yeah Eder is always fantastic.

Gabbiadini was OP too, shame he left for England, i seldom have a team from there (top players too expensive)

I've heard Buffon sucks, Handy is apparently better. Perin is OP as always, too.

I've been getting my girlfriend to open my packs, and she's had some incredible luck. So far she's pulled 2 scream cards including my Perisic, IF Celtic Dembele, and best of all, IF Lozano and Martial in the same pack

With that great pack I managed to buy Marchisio and IF Brandt (what a card ).

I've changed things up a little bit: my starting squad is a 4-3-3 with:


In game I swap Khedira and Marchisio, move Brandt to CAM and Promes to ST with VB.

Boy it is incredible! I only really want to get rid of Lukaku and Donnarumma, thinking either IF Ghoulam or Alex Sandro for Lukaku and Handanovic for Donnarumma.

I recently retired from video games after winning FUT Division 1, it was the last objective of my gaming life and now it is achieved. Gave away my ps3 and won't buy ps4. Took me 5 years and probably more than 2000 games... fun fact is i didn't even suck at Fifa. Division 2 level no more no less, i'd say.

About goalkeepers, i've found the most important attribute to be the "Style of save". Acrobatics are mostly good while classics are less decisive on corners, headers, long shots.

- Reflex, diving > 83
- Handling, positioning > 80
Everything below that, avoid.

On the contrary, you should play a lot while the only bug seems to be kit number assignment... trust me on that.

A bug that annoyed me for no reason (guess it's a matter of preference)... it would be the trophies not showing off in the trophy room. I think i won 40 "undefined" tournaments last year. Even my Div 1 title i have no proof of it Or when the goals were not registered anymore lol, this one was funny tho, to see my in form Klose at 50 games 0 goals 0 assists

To be honest playing Fifa 16/17 on ps3 i needed to lower my expectations, EA simply stopped caring and we had to deal with displeasures like these very often if not most of the time.

I just noticed that you're from New Zealand, Kick. Always assumed you were Australian, for some reason. I was watching this video on Youtube the other day, and I was thinking to myself "I wonder if any of the Aussies on the forum are like this guy"

I thought that was the Australia flag.

New Zealand and Australia have a similar flag imo.

They are quite similar, it's not easy to spot the difference.

I opened a random 125k pack over the weekend. I saw the white and blue flairs and thought I got a TOTGS, which I did (Ben Yedder). Alongside 88 rated icon Kluivert!



I decided to keep him and play him alongside Van Basten and infront of prime Deco in a 4-3-1-2. They are such fun together!

Is there going to be a world cup game this year? Kinda weird its April and theres been no talk from what i see.

the 2014 game was terrible, but the 2010 game was fantastic.
