Even some United fans were starting to moan, but they were moaning more about the injury than the fact their undisputed starter was a liability.

I would very much like if we picked up Pepe on free. Would be great to have him beside Romagnoli and keep that fraud Musachio as backup.

Guy is always a solid buy on FIFA. Usually ends up 85-86 rated too.

Been scouring Villarreal forums (there aren't any), and they don't even think highly of Mustachio Furioso, apparently he's another CB who is more concerned with passing the ball between the RB and LB

Hope Pepe joins Milan. Would be a good signing.

This damn club really gonna depend on Varane (not dependable with form and/or fitness), Ramos (self explanatory), Nacho (better as a full back) and Vallejo (???) next season.

No we wont, that's what's killing me. i get that CBs have become pricey but there are plenty of quality defenders we can sign out there: Glik, Manolas, otamendi, koscielny, koulibaly etc...

Pepe has become injury prone, which is really why Madrid won't give him the years he wants.

As far as a replacement... We have 3 CBs that can play ffs. That's about right. The 4th CB is usually a kid or a scrub. I know we're spoiled at Madrid; but you have to be realistic.

Our problems are backups to Marcelo and Carvajal. Coentrao and Danilo aren't up to par. So we are going to go for those positions without a doubt. Need a back up for Casemiro too. Replacement for Morata. Don't think we need to replace James if he leaves since Isco is here with Benzema likely to the bench along with Asensio and Vasquez.

With De Gea... that's 5 new players this summer. It's a ton already.

FINALLY... and probably the biggest point... the energy and performance from our bench this season has come from canteras. They're the ones coming in and showing 100% heart. If you get some outside player and stick him in the 4th CB spot, I doubt you're going to get the kind of commitment you need the few times you need it.

4th CB is an unknown, and so far i have only seen Otamendi linked through Mendes, Boateng in sky germany, and seems like this is serious

0 interest out there for Danilo, doubt he will leave. and then im not even sure who do you go for back up RB? Achraf is too young

Mbappe is the prize, and given how often Bale, CR and Benzema are out nowadays, i would argue having an extra forward can be valuable. this season we had Mariano and James that were extra members for the offense, we are losing both. should we bring former cantera Mata back? lol

If you bring an extra CM to back up Casemiro, it pushes Isco up.... so that's the James replacement.

I also see Kovacic playing more next season.  Only reason he didn't in this one was due to James and Isco playing ahead of him in that attack mid role.

If Pepe goes to Bayern he can gtfo. He won't do that to us though, too classy for that. Inter is a good destination if he leaves, not our rival and he can make a defense out of that backline. Win win

There was talk of him going to Barca last summer. He won the olympics for Brazil with Neymar, Gabriel Jesus and Gabigol in the frontline. He looked good in that team at least, havent watched him at club level.
