Just saw somewhere that next season between december 15-16th and Jan 1st, most teams will play 6 leagues games . 6 games in 2 weeks , no break. That's insane considering there is a WC at the end of that season too. No wonder why England is always so bad.

Re: English Premier League '16-'17 Discussion - Part 14
I have said this a million times but the Christmas period has absolutely nothing to do with England's performances at major international tournaments.
If you want to argue it's a reason for CL performances then maybe but it in no way is any sort of reason for WC/EC performances.
For starters there's plenty of PL foreign players who have zero issues.
I'm not going to accept this as an excuse, we suck because we are rubbish lol not because we don't get a few days off 6 months before.

Pretty sure it does affect other players. I'm struggling to think of PL stars that did well in 2010 and 2014 WCs. Help me out here.
Anyways I think the solution would be for England to have a break in January, not christmas. Would go against their culture. The time could be made up by getting rid of that 2nd cup no one cares about.

Tottenham can do massive damage in Europe & the League next season if Levy doesn't completely *bleep* up yet another transfer window. Still maintain they have the most complete starting lineup in the League.

They didn't amount to much this season in a relatively easy group though..I think they've only gotten better as the season went on, if they can carry this into next season too, and there's no reason they shouldn't, I kinda agree.

They're a young team without European experience, they'll get better.
Also they had a CL semi finalist in their group
Still should've gotten out, but just saying.

Tbf they were pretty shite early on in the season. They drew six of their first 12 games. That's United level play.
That and Kane was continually injured. More than anything, Eriksen wasn't in good form early on either.
Next season Spurs are going far.

Don't forget Spurs are playing at Wembley next season, though. While I'm sure they'll get used to it, it's just not as intimate a setting as WHL is and they'll never produce the same intensity there.
From an Arsenal perspective going to WHL recently has been extremely difficult, but I have zero fears about playing Spurs at Wembley.

I still remember laughing at people giving me shit about him because they watched one game vs my 100+
Still can't believe we got 30m for him, at least Wijnaldum is actually talented in some aspects.

Wijnaldum is great. Huge big game player, Always turns up.
He even had 2 assists in the WHU game, Coutinho and Studge took the plaudits in that though.

Tbf his Euro 2016 hype was real. Dude looked like the French Ronaldinho.
He's still very good at holding the ball next to the corner flag though, so jokes on you guys. Spurs found a really good use for him.
