Looks disgusting though lmao
The arena is copied from Amygdala in BB lol. 90% is the same.
My one attack went for 102 damage
You didn't do this solo right?

nah, some lad helped me, I got it to about 30% a few times solo
saw people trivializing it with shields, just another huge endurance test
might be an unreal struggle for you, think I heard dark and pyro do next to nothing to it lol

Yea. Not to mention I am made of glass.
I'll still solo it unless I am past 50 attempts or something.
Did you read up the lore btw? This DLC was kinda underwhelming too.

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
yeah
as a stand alone DLC part it would have been good but not as a finale to the series
they could have wrapped it up using pre-existing characters and areas
instead you get a bunch of new information, setting, characters, etc that we've never heard of before

That cutscene was amazing though. When you touch that bowl and you see what the ringed city really is.
Was that Gael boss area the fireshrine?

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
that was an egg not a bowl it had parallels to dark souls 1, the same thing was used there, there was an illusion of one of gwyn's daughter's and if you broke it this really vibrant, bright area that was unlike anything else in the game turned dark
nah the first boss demons area was fire link shrine from dark souls 1, favorite setting in the series, it was like Majula from Dark Souls 1 where a lot of story stuff and NPC's take place
really hope they remaster it for PS4 in the future
the PVP was unreal man and it was the only Souls game I smashed for months purely PVP, I was pretty good, couldn't get into PVP in BB or DS3 for w/e reason, I played quite a bit in DS2 for trophies

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
Didn't even know there was PVP in BB lol. Got invaded few times but that was it.
Missed out on DS2 PVP since it was dead. Played A LOT of DS3 PVP tho. Mainly because I was obsessed with destroying the gank squads.
Read this interesting thing that you start the DLC in DS3, then jump to DS2 in earthen peak and then end up in DS1. That was a good touch.
I agree that to end the DLC like that was a bit weird. Gael was a nobody. But I think the story really ended after soul of cinder. DLC was like a new story really.
Wish we got better answers though.
I really hope we get BB2 man. They can't give up on this franchise ffs.

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
the online in Bloodborne was odd, can't remember how it worked exactly, think you rang a bell to summon help and you could only be invaded then
literally never summoned or got invaded once while playing it
I remember trying to get summons in the hard chalice dungeons but it never worked because it was buggy smh
100% see a Bloodborne 2 in the future man, can't see them not making it. I think it's already in development personally.
now you remind me why I didn't play much DS3 PVP, because of gank squads, every single invasion was a gank squad
so you were forced to fight in duel designated areas which I did, put a lot of hours into the area after Pontiff

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
Lol thankfully it worked for me because Rom made me cry and had to ask my mate to help me with it ffs.
Rom was disgusting. One of the few times I gladly welcomed co-op.
Rather face Orphan of Pos again than Rom ffs

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
Rom in the Dungeon? I was dreading it but remember reading a comment and it ended up being super easy because the room was so small you could see where he was going to reappear and go ham on him before he could react
the only ones I struggled on were the ones that took FOREVER, I remember reading a good strat for watchdog of the old lords or w/e and it took me like 20 minutes of kiting it and baiting the same attack over and over
I think the one that took me the most attempts was that ogre with the massive chain because he could 1 shot you and took like 10-15 minutes to get his unreal health down
Amygdala was a POS too, think that dungeon gave you half HP right? and everything had unreal HP so took forever
I never actually beat the dungeons 100% IIRC, only the ones required for the trophies, I remember you telling me there was some beast boss that was insane, I fought an easier version of it in a dungeon, the one that never stopped attacking
I beg no more chalice dungeons in BB2 smh

I don't know what Oolacile is but do you think the ringed city is Oolacile from DS1?

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
nah, no chance, ringed city seems to be some completely new city in DS3, it's never mentioned before, in fact it goes against what most people assumed was the story, I like it but it could have easily have used Gwyn's other daughter instead of making some new one that was never mentioned before etc
Oolacile was the location of the DS1 DLC
Also it seems like where you fight Midir, the room before it is Londor related, wonder if that was supposed to please fans who expected this DLC to be set there, some small little religious church with the same symbols and a ceremonial sword

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
the one thing everyone wanted them to clear up with this DLC and why they wanted it to be Londor related was the Primordial Serpents, they were basically manipulating everything in Dark Souls 1 and we got statues of them in DS3 and a mention of one by name from Yuria when you kill her, mad disappointed they didn't address it as it was one of the biggest mysteries in the series and they weren't mentioned much after the first game.

It's still like that lol. 4 vs 1 most of the time. But that's why it is addicting. Or was. Not into masochism anymore.

Nah the original Rom. In the sea. Couldn't get near it because of his bullshit AOE attack and spider minions that one shot you.
One in the dungeon was easy due to a lot of good hiding spots.
Watchdog of the overlords lmao. And that thumerian descendant who had unlimited stamina. Dungeons had some unreal bosses. I think BB had the best variety of bosses. So many unique ones with different style.
Yea you never did all of the dungeons. That disgusting beast who i had to cheese lmao. 20 poison knives and ran around in circles
I also think BB2 is in production. Hope it is anyways.

no wonder there were so many messages around those statues lol. I was confused.
I think Miyazaki got tired of the lore and just didnt want to touch anything from DS1 and DS2. Otherwise it would have only created more questions.
Saw this cool berserk reference
Shared grave inspired by the Tower of Rebirth. Fits really well.

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
unreal amounts of Berserk stuff in DS and BB over the years, sure there were more I missed in this DLC, those Ringed Knights had amazing armor though based on the Berserk eclipse.
Ludwig was straight out of Berserk too
btw you need to get on Nioh sometime in the next few months, I know you said you will at some point but I legit think I liked it more than DS3/2. Amazing game.
and yeah I don't think Miyazaki cares that much about the lore, the fans put more thought into it than he does lol. Still has a really good story but everyone expects everything to be connected seamlessly.. they aren't that thorough

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
use a high fire high stability shield, basically avoids it's fire attack completely and let's you get free hits on it
or is the issue damage output from you?

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
Nah it's dodging.
Using this spell which eats away his HP. Insane damage output. Can get him to 50% now. But I can't dodge his attacks.
I cant equip high stability shield due to low dex

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
I think that's probably what the guy I summoned used because I noticed his HP kept getting eaten while nobody was attacking it
when it dodges its disgusting because you have to walk across the entire room again which takes 10 seconds, camera was disgusting in that fight when trying to land hits

Re: Dark Souls 3 - Part 2
I don't remember him using it that often, do you mean the purple abyss attack that rises from the ground? or the laser beam light he shoots, cuz he does that in phase 1 for me
the fire attack always hit me because of the camera and it going behind him, which is where I usually was wailing away at his tail

nah laser beam light. In phase 2 it goes everywhere compared to phase 1 where you can tell where it will hit.
Its probably because I am running away too much
