On Fabregas ES, last time i mention it i promise lol.

Don't you think Montella couldn't have a similar effect on him to Conte?

I'm not denying it can't happen, just that i don't see it happening at all. It took Conte to bench him to get his head together, whats he gonna do when he comes to this team and is guaranteed a starting spot week in week out? Do stupid shit like this?

I understand the point, but there are so many players that could improve Milan (even just from the league) that I feel that they must be proactive.

Fabregas would be a good stopgap signing for Milan.  Our rise to the top is loosely based on making stopgap signings as well as complimen. ting them with talented young players.
This is the same scenario where many Juve fans complained about signing Pirlo. Of course all depends upon how motivated he is to resurrect his career at a new team.

In that scenario Milan would have to buy some damn good young players to go with him tbh.

Juve managed to sign Vidal that summer among others, i'll be impressed if Milan sign someone half as good as that.

That's what I am saying. Compliment someone talented with a player like Fabregas and you already got a 2x better midfield. Kessie, Tolisso, players of that ilk.
If he comes in as the only midfield signing, then they'll obviously have a problem there.

ES is spot on here as he usually is when it comes to Milan.

Our scouting is so incredibly lazy at times as when we find a player we like it seems tunnel vision incurs and we will get him at all costs, except we won't as its like that loser who talks about his plans and entrapranuerials but ends up doing nothing.

Prime example is Matri instead for Eriksen who was being offered for the same price for Milan and that is 13 mil Euros.

Kessie is another flash in the pan and product of Gasperini's typical ability to make a player look better based on his positional guidance.

Let's actually scout Europe and SA (rest of the world is irrelevant lets admit) and uncover gems instead of the ones on the headlines of Tuttosport because our scouts are too lazy to travel.

Fabregas WOULD be a good signing no doubt but we indeed need high ceiling players who are hungry and not just ones who make the highlight reel of a low grade show from Pescara.

I'd like to see Milan try to get Papu Gomez. He does the kind of team carrying that Milan need. Drastically superior than their current attacking options.

He's world class and his father is a club legend, I wouldn't be against signing him. The only other available highly rated GK is Donnarumma, and I'm not convinced he's a top GK yet, just some young lad getting hype because he was starting games when he was 11 years old.

Another fantastic piece of business by Woodward IMO.

Manchester United boss José Mourinho is ready to spend £80m on PSG's Blaise Matuidi and Monaco's Bernardo Silva. (Source: Daily Express)

Losing De Gea and buying names like Matuidi and Schmeichel.... Seems to me we have lost a bit of perspective in the market. Wonder if we have accepted our fate of being an EL team going forward. This is not looking good for project Jjunited

Don't think Fabregas would leave Chelsea, he's an important player and probably wants to win a CL.

Would take Schmeichel for a few years. Got a special spot for him considering he is the son of a club legend. And he has improved over the last couple of years really well. Hopefully he would be 'dying' to play in the red of United and to follow in his father's footsteps. Proud

On the other hand if we seriously go and sign someone like Hart as the replacement to the world's best keeper. Laughing

Schmeichel world class Laughing got to be kidding me. He's a decent GK. Nothing more. Navas is better than him. WAAYYYY better. I don't even know if he's better than Joe Hart but I'll leave it at that. Romero would do as good a job as Schmeichel could if we're being perfectly honest here.

Also, Fabregas very likely won't leave Chelsea for another 2 years. The rumours are nice but he'll be offered a new contract soon, until he gets to the point where we only offer him 1 year extensions and he decides to go elsewhere. He has been good for us this season but only because of the way Conte has used him. It should continue that way into next season.

I think Milan need to steal those Monaco scouts. They've gotten most of their signings right over the last 4 years or so. Not sure how much longer Milan can afford this state of mediocrity. And you can't just throw money foolishly at a problem. You need to buy the right players too. Either way, I'm rooting for Milan. I grew up watching them in the CL and I'd love to see them get back to that level (Inter too).

Its same case with most of us tbh very rarely you will find a neutral fan who hates Milan clubs. Seriously hope they make comeback but considering their recent dealings it might be a wishful thinking.

Last time I checked Navas literally broke down when he was asked to join United in a swap deal. So, no thanks.
Only want players who want to play for the shirt. And thats exactly why I am averse to signing any big club rejects/mercenaries who only want to join cos of lack of play time and will jump ship at the first opportunity that come their way. So, the likes of James Rod and all can just f off.

As for Schmeichel vs Hart vs Romero, ofc the former is easily better that the other 2. He has brilliant for a while now. A solid stop gap GK if we sign him and will have 3 or 4 years remaining at his peak. Will give us ample time to look for a long time option. Hart on the other hand is an overrated clown and is forever blue. Can just f off for all I care

The reason why many United fans dont want to see KS to United is because of simply how good ddg's been for us. Whoever replace him is going to be a step down and these guys are morons if they think a foreign young kid can come just like that take his position and deliver from the word go. These same guys will start calling for his head once he fails to deliver. You need experience and maturity to be a good GK.
