Expect a tactical masterclass from Poch in the second half now.

Owen says he thinks Alexis was the one "interfering with play" which is obviously bollocks since 'interfering with play' is defined as touching/playing the ball.
Unbelievable that professional footballers-turned-high-paid-commentators can't seem to take 5 minutes of their lifetime to actually take a look at the offside rules in black and white.
Embarrassing stuff.

But women don't understand offside, of course

Not offside.

Koscielny was the only one close to the ball/Wimmer, and he was onside.

Please go with your denial.

It wasn't offside. Would have been offside if an Arsenal player had scored the own goal in favour of Spurs

The Arsenal players are attakcking the ball. What else are they doing? They're not running there by chance. That's the definition of interfering with the opponent.

Unbelievable stuff from Webb.

Why bother. Hans is obviously right. He's the most knowledgeable person on the planet wrt any footballing rules, with Gil a distant second.

Amazing how 3 pundits in the BT Studio who are PAID to inform the mass about rules and what not openly admit they have no clue if it was offside or not Laughing

Then they start arguing with a former Referee of the decade Sir Howard Webb rofl

If a offside player presses a opponent CB who in haste passes backward leading to own goal, is that a legal goal? No. Same situation here, Arsenal players' action lead to the goal, who were offside.

A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by:
[..]
interfering with an opponent by:
[..]
challenging an opponent for the ball or
clearly attempting to play a ball which is close to him when this action impacts on an opponent or
making an obvious action which clearly impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball

Two Arsenal players are offside and attacking Özil's freekick.
Seriously. What the hell, Howard Webb. This is unbelievable.

Too small margins this time, Kos seemed on. Seen it go both ways, Nothing new to be really surprised here.

Its a good match!

Koscielny was played on by Wanyama.

Alexis was 'not in line with the GK or the ball, so not interfering' acc NBCSN commentators.

Drew a line on the screengrab and talked about it - didn't try to stir up a controversy just to jump up some ratings/viewership like BT is doing.

Let's get back to the game now.
