I still dont know if they'll split up JeriKO. Wwe have made a lot of surprising decisions lately. I can easily see a triple threat match involving both of them and some other guy, maybe Finn Balor if he returns in time. And i can see Jericho taking a break after Mania which means technically they wouldn't be splitting up. Just that the angle would end and there would be no feud to follow which is realistic when you think of it.

I'm glad i'm not the only one thinking of the Balor thing lol, wouldn't be surprised at all if this happens...

Jericho wins the rumble, tension between Jericho and Owens rises but they haven't actually turned on each other yet and Balor comes back and wants his title back ala Rollins which means a triple threat.

If that doesn't happen i wouldn't be surprised if Balor and AJ happens, there's Bullet Club history there to build a story from and both of them are ex world champions by that point. Both are seemingly at that point in the company where even if they are not in title matches they don't drop down to the mid card either.

Wrestlemania will obviously have at least one cross brand matchup so it makes sense for that to be the one, or if Rollins and HHH happens at the Rumble you could also blow that off early and have AJ and Rollins instead.

Which also has a backstory going for it that you can plant seeds for Shield vs Club in the future.

Although if any of that happens i wonder what you do with Ambrose, as he's the only ex champion from both brands there who isn't involved. ( Orton will go against Bray or be with Bray by that point IMO)

I don't want the Shane thing but it's hard to think of something realistically, i wanted a lengthy Ambrose and Cena feud after their great mic work during the triple threat with Styles but Taker and Cena seems the route for now so we'll see.

Still 4 months to go though, lots of potential regardless tbh much more so than last years which isn't surprising considering how many injuries there were but still.

I dream of a Balor-Styles feud actually. But i am not sure if wwe will have an interpromotional matchup for the championship. If Balor is returning before Mania, he would be fighting in a championship match. Realistically, since hes a raw superstar, you'd have to think he'd be fighting for the universal title.

I agree, it's the most likely outcome he'll be involved in the Universal championship match.

But if he isn't the option is open for both guys as i imagine Styles will lose the belt before then.

Should just end the brand split and make RAW 2 hours again imo. RAW's averaging a 1.9 rating and SD isn't doing much better ratings wise compared to before the brand split. I'm pretty sure they did the brand split so SD's ratings would improve. Not really worked out.

Smackdown has been between 2.5 and 3m viewers each show for the past month ( excluding the debate episode)

So your wrong, it has been doing better since the split considering before the split it was sub 2m viewers lol.

Scrapping the brand split is the single worse thing which can happen for multiple reasons.

1. Many people who have been given a chance since the split and been fantastic will go back to never seeing TV again.

2. Raw's writing/booking team is diabolical so those on Smackdown who have been the benefit of superior writing and booking will go back to being irrelevant.

It's not a coincidence in the slightest that people i liked before the brand split i absolutely despise now and it isn't the talents fault.

If they scrapped the brand split, i would stop watching it completely as Smackdown as constructed is the only thing that's doing that anyway and breaking that up takes it all away.

Also Raw going back to 2 hours changes nothing unless the writing gets better which it won't, besides it's a complete non starter as it's not going to happen.

SD ratings don't look all that different compared to before the brand split. 2 hour RAW with star power would be much better than what's on now even with crappy writing.

Midcard: Owens, Balor, Miz, Rusev, Reigns, Zayn etc

Why is Rollins suddenly best mates with Reigns? Last time I was watching they hated each others guts. Turning face doesn't have to mean you undergo a personality transplant overnight.

Why does Sasha Banks cry everytime she wins the title? Her gimmicks meant to be a cocky brat type character.

Need to focus more on staying true to their characters instead of worrying about being a face/heel imo.

Well I don't disagree in the slightest lol, it all lends to same issues I have with Raw tbh. Storylines, writing, character development since the split have been downright awful.

SmackDown on the other hand excells at these things, it just doesn't have enough talent so it's more a development of the feuds itself than different feuds.

I just don't think getting rid of the split is the answer, more so improving the creative process.

I should say I have reasonably enjoyed both shows since Survivor Series, probably because most of the storylines are building towards WM season which has me kind of invested.

I already mentioned some options for AJ tbf, also theirs going to be more NXT call ups before then.

One of Joe and Nakamura will be up by the Rumble, long time for things to play out for Wrestlemania and for new storylines to take shape for AJ and Ambrose.

Also as I said I really doubt Orton is going to be involved with anyone but Bray.

WWE is trying to sign the Young Bucks, their ROH contracts expire at the end of the year.

Hopefully they do a full fledged Bullet Club this time instead of the piss poor version we got. Balor with Gallows and Anderson on RAW and AJ with the Young Bucks on Smackdown.

AJ is the second most prestigious opponent in the company after Cena. I really hope they don't waste it by making him feud with Orton.

My dream scenario : Balor wins the Rumble. Says he wants to fight for the World Championship and thus facing Styles at Mania. During the match, Gallows and Anderson interfere but they attack Styles instead. Balor turns heel and this begins the Bullet club storyline. But this is probably unlikely. Can't see Balor turn heel. His entrance alone makes him a baby face. And I can't see him move to Smackdown since Raw desperately needs better talent to fill their 3 hr show.

But Balor-Styles needs to happen. It's worthy of a Wrestlemania feud but knowing wwe, they'll probably have this feud at a shit ppv like Battleground or something.

Who would be Reigns' Mania opponent then ? If it's Strowman fighting for the title, that would be barfworthy. It's like Sid Vicious vs Taker 2.0.

Owens should keep it atleast until Mania. He has a developing storyline that's going to be culminating into a title match that everyone wants to see unlike Reigns who has no worthy opponent as of now.

Agreed with MT on the personality bullshit, it's insulting seeing Rollins and Reigns teaming up. Considering what Rollins did to Reigns is 10x worse than Owens/Jericho insulting him slightly on the mic. They need to stop that bullshit.

Let's break up the shield, then have Rollins turn mega heel. Then our end goal can be to have Rollins turn face and semi re-unite the shield every few weeks. BULLSHIT. Stop it.
