remember being a young lad and being awed by the first ratchet game, spent months playing it, unreal weapons and set pieces

There's some yeah, it's basically a remade version of the first game with some different story elements and level changed in some ways and obviously up to date visuals.

time to boot up GTA V again but might get turned off by what a pain it is to mod GTA V.

But tbh the actual graphics aren't that much better than vanilla GTA on PC maxed, including the ridiculous settings. The main difference are the model details.

What's the system requirement for the redux mod ? probably requires a monster gpu to get stable 60fps.

it's only a 5-15 fps drop compared to maxed vanilla.

Maxed vanilla GTA looks amazing already, it's just the imrpoved models, ridiculous rain reflection and over zealous ambient occlusion that trick you into thinking it looks that much more amazing

How do you guys feel about ultra hard games to master, like Starcraft and Melee, do they still have a place in this world?

Melee isn't hard lol, it just has a high ceiling cap, fighting games are a dying breed though. Same with RTS, ain't no one got time etc, look at games nowadays, no one wants to invest 40 mins-1hr per game, thats why League is dying in PC bangs in Korea. Thanks to OW, it filled a gap between the competitive demographic and the casuals, small 15 min games, 1 hero limit etc

This, especially on Melee lol never understood the it's hard mantra tbh.

Also dunno why games which are difficult to master would be dieing breed though, just make them simple to pick up and play and hard to master not exactly rocket science imo.

League aint dying in PC bangs in Korea, its number dropped 1st two months Overwatch released but now it rose again and topped it. With League super team formed in LCK and the return of Koreans from China, it will get even more comppetitive & bigger. Overwatch will also be big in Korea and it might be the 1st time Koreans shown they're good in FPS. Starcraft is what dead in Korea, big teams dropped and such.

Also SF scene is still stable with lots of circuit every year & pros seems happy with current state.
