Serie A big spenders this year.
Italy was the second biggest spender in the summer window, its €711.34 million second only to the Premier League. Serie A was also the first in terms of income. Amazing what Chinese ownership does, Inter spent more than most clubs in the CL and they are only in the EL.

It's mainly FFP that's holding them down from being a top top top club though according to @Robespierre

Re: Serie A big spenders this year.
Inter also couldn't put most of their big purchases in their EL list due to FFP, I wonder how that would be if they make CL.
Gabigol, Kondogbia, Joao Mario and Jovetic couldn't be included.

Net spend is lowest out of the top 4 leagues
Inter didn't spend THAT much. 100m is a lot but not crazy money.

Re: Serie A big spenders this year.
It is for Serie A, and specially when you are outside of the CL. Its a significant amount. They spent significantly more than Roma and Napoli who both sold big.

Re: Serie A big spenders this year.
You don't need to spend big to build a world class midfield if you know what you're doing...

What does it mean to be delusional?
A delusion is a false belief that is based on an incorrect interpretation of reality. A person with delusional disorder will firmly hold on to a false belief despite clear evidence to the contrary. Delusions can be caused by mental illnesses called psychoses. These include schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Re: Serie A big spenders this year.
It was because of Suning.
Zhang (Suning) bought the Inter and so he presented himself "with an investiment of 100 mln .
Same thing made by Lim in Valencia basically .
Thohir was just the only Asiatic owner to sign the free agents
Same thing will make new Milan owners. (Already for this January)
We have to look at long period but anyway it has not to do with the overall Italian system.

You are not informed correctly tbh
We couldn't insert joao mario Gabigol jovetic kondogbia in El lists due to FFP
We paid joao mario 40 so if you wanted hin in list , you had to sell a player for same price .. and same thing for the other players
Immagine Douglas Costa Renato Sanchez Coman to not play the CL because you signed them but not ricuperated that money from sellings
So Yes , I can confirm it, Ffp is a regime and we are caagged from it

More interesting is the net spend... not the gross spend.

Yes this is net spend for Inter:
Income - £12,700,000
Expenditures - £115,300,000
Total Net Spend - £102,600,000
In comparison Juve's Net Spend:
Income - £139,150,000
Expenditures - £138,130,000
Total Net Spend - ZERO

Nice to see Serie A spending, but what I'm really looking forward is for their teams to click. And you know, kinda seriously challenge Juve for the title, or maybe do better than half assed in the EL/CL.
See if you guys can get that 4th CL spot back that does wonders for the league.
You know, steal it from the PL

Re: Serie A big spenders this year.
Serie A has already been guaranteed 4 spots without the fourth place play off (as do EPL, Liga and Bundesliga), no matter what happens this year co-efficient-wise. The CL format has changed.

Yes, it's a big deal. There is a thread about it I think. It was a compromise agreed to by UEFA and the organization of big European clubs (ECA?).
