Today, FC Bayern München won the trophy for the sportsteam of the year in the annual German "Sportspersonality of the Year" election which is held since 1947 (or teams since 1957). This is only the third time that Bayern München managed to win this trophy since its inception.

By the way, the top 3 Sportsteams of the Year were all football teams this year:

1. FC Bayern München - winner of the treble in men's football
2. German Women Football NT - winner of the women's football Euro2013
3. VfL Wolfsburg - winner of the treble in women's football
