CatRadio dit que le Barca essaiera De Jong jusqu’au bout. Pogba est impossible selon eux.
We will be trying to sign Frenkie De Jong until the window closes since Pogba is off the table.

Yerry Mina sold to Everton for €32M. Barcelona secured a buy-back clause for the player.
Andre Gomes is loaned out to Everton for €2,25M. Everton will cover all his wages.
I'm impressed by the business we've been doing lately.

Seems like the big-game flop and nobody Rabiot is joining Barcelona with Rafinha and possibly Rakitić leaving on loan to Betis and for €90m to PSG respectively.
What a clueless board

All of these rumours are not true lol, I know you want to believe them though because you wish Barca ill.
We are done with transfers for the summer. Maybe Rafinha or Alcacer will leave but that's about it, no big deal

Paco Alcácer se va al Borussia Dortmund. Cesión por 2,2M€ con opción de compra cercana a los 20M€. El acuerdo entre clubes ya es total.
Looks like Paco will be joining BVB on loan with a buy option.

Since the sale of Villa to Atlético Madrid, Barça have a preferential option on Saul Ñíguez. [md]
Yes please make that happen.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
you have to be naive to think you have a option on a player now because you sold some lad 5 years ago His release clause is 150 mil. you have a preferential option to pay the clause first? those catalan papers are some of the worst

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
I don't believe we have any option on Saul, I'm just glad to be linked to a great player like himself.
We tried to sign Saul a year ago, that was confirmed by Atleti's chief, whoever that is.
That release clause, however, is indeed a problem.

I don't think Saul is moving anytime soon.
He is on a massively long contract and seems very happy, plus that release clause.

From what I understand we have first option, meaning if someone tries to purchase him from Atletico that we would get the option to match what whatever club is offering for him. However he clearly snubbed us back when we sold Villa to Atletico, and signed a long ass contract with Atletico so I don't think he will agree to leave any time soon.

Barcelona already know the price of Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt. He will cost €50m. [tuttosport]
We need to sign someone, Pique is not getting younger and Lenglet is a bag of dirt.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
yeah what is he like 19? I say drop the cash, f it.
Btw, allot of rumors of Malcom or Dembele (or both) being sold or loaned out this winter. I would be ok with them loaning out Malcom just for the remainder of the season. Given his age and price I think it would be idiotic to sell him so soon, but the kid deff needs mins and he isn't going to get that under EV.

Dembele will surely stay, the board counts on him
But Malcom requested a transfer if things stay as they are for which you can't blame him. He's not playing at all lol

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Way I see it, we need 3 key reinforcements soon. A RCB, a DM and a striker. In order of priority they are DM, striker and RCB. I just dont think Busquets can play DM with Messi upfront and 2 lightweight midfielders either side of him. So a DM is a priority in the summer. But he is a legend and still relatively young. So I doubt we are considering replacing him. Heard rumors about De Jong who plays DM. Have not watched him though.
Suarez is still going good but we need to bring in a replacement in the summer. The market is kind of dry though. I wouldnt mind taking a shot at Martial if he is available. Dont know about his contract situation. He is talented. Other than that, dont know.
We also need to look at a Pique replacement. Heard rumors about De Light but havent watched him. Oique can still play a couple of years having quit the NT. But it is another area which needs reinforcement.

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
It's been a while since I was as hyped about a Dutch player as I am about Frenkie. I see him mentioned as a DM, however I would rather call him a CM/DM hybrid in the sense that his defensive contribution is very solid (both off the ball with his positioning, forsing turnovers, tackling and pressing and on the ball with his ability to shield it from opponents) but he's also a player who tends to move quite a bit with the ball at his feet. He plays with a lot of verticality as well, always trying to find passing lanes and ways to reach the attacking players. He is a very all round player, yet not akin to the likes of (for example) Sergi Roberto. Not a dig at Sergi, but Frenkie excels more and is a real presence on the field. The way he 'glides' past opponents, even of very high skill, is a joy to behold. There is still room for improvement, though. He should try to work on his stamina as he does become more of a passenger during the second half of a game, simply due to fatigue. Mind you, he tends to run a lot. Usually among the players with the highest KM run in a game.
If he were to come to Barcelona, which I would very much applaud, I would actually prefer to have him play next to Arthur at first. In time he should probably be able to take over from Busi.
If anyone would like to see what he is capable of, I would recommend watching France vs The Netherlands. France was better that game, but Frenkie was still doing his own thing and was, for me, the best Dutch player on the field. Watch him forcing turnovers and running past Griezmann like he's not even there. I'd recommend watching the full game (instead of highlights) as you'll be able to see his defensive contributions too.

Great post man, pop in more often because this section is dying
As to Frenkie I hope we can snatch him because I read Man City are offering him lots of $$ and might convince him to move to England....

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Torreira from Arsenal looked really good yesterday. He is quick, he is agile, great passing and very good defending. I really liked him, complete opposite of Arthur who only plays safe passes and contributes zero to defence. And Torreira is only 22.
Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Very interesting story about Ronaldo's record-breaking transfer from Barcelona to Inter:
According to Gaspart, the news took everyone involved by surprise.
"Ronaldo wanted to stay at Barcelona, he was happy and his wish was to renew," the former chief, vice-president at that time, explained to Goal.
"We had even typed out the contract in front of the player himself and his two agents.
"It was three in the afternoon and we justifiably decided to go out to eat and celebrate Ronaldo's renewal, and then return to the office and sign the agreement we had reached."
While Gaspart and his colleagues were celebrating Ronaldo's new deal, however, the player's agents were secretly arranging his exit from Barcelona.
"We even toasted with cava to celebrate the agreement," Gaspart recalls.
"That was a mistake because if we had not gone out to eat and had signed at the same time we reached the agreement, Ronaldo would have stayed at Barcelona."
During the meeting, Gaspart claims that "one of his agents went off for half an hour to take a phone call", which happened to be from Inter president Massimo Moratti.
"At that time we did not pay much attention to the agent's absence. When he came back he apologised, had some coffee and toasted before going to the office to sign the contract.
"From the first moment we got to president [Josep] Nunez's office, the agents began to put obstacles up, they told Ronaldo to go home and that they would call him to sign. I asked them if they did not want to sign.
"They insisted they did but what they wanted was to renegotiate almost the entire contract, increasing the financial terms. They were trying to destroy the talks."
Even when Barca agreed to reopen discussions, it became clear that the player's agents were holding out for a San Siro switch.
"When we managed to renegotiate the five points they requested, they found a sixth part, which we also solved, and then a seventh," he stated.
"In tears, [Ronaldo] told me that he was sorry but his agents had a much better offer than ours and that it was better for all parties for him to go to another club to make much more money."
The very next day Inter deposited 4bn pesetas ($24m) in La Liga's accounts to meet Ronaldo's release clause, making him the second player after Diego Maradona to break the world transfer record twice.
Barcelona, however, were not willing to let their superstar go without a fight.
"We did not agree and I went to FIFA in Zurich to file a complaint against Inter," he said.
"The decision was taken to set up an arbitration committee to decide how much should be paid, not if the player could go to Inter, it was clear that was going to happen. FIFA agreed with Barcelona and Inter had to pay a further 400m pesetas.
"I personally told Moratti that what he did was not right because he knew we were negotiating and we had closed the operation. He has always denied knowing that we had come to an agreement but that's a lie.
"Whenever I see him I remind him that Ronaldo did not want to go to Inter, it was his agents who convinced him due to the money."
Despite Ronaldo's swift exit, Gaspart insists that the Selecao star was never happier than when he was lining up at Camp Nou – and that he almost returned five years later.
"Ronaldo told me [in 2002] that if we equalled Real Madrid's offer, he would choose Barcelona but it was a huge offer and we could not make such a big investment for a player who had left in that way," he said.
"Ronaldo's heart is more Blaugrana than Madrid because he has better memories of his time at Barcelona."

Re: Transfer Rumours V6
Idk about all that, I’ve read a few articles from which Ronaldo accuses Barcelona of being shady and that’s why the negotiations fell through and why he left. And to this day even though he had the best season of his career with us that he is a “galactico” at heart. I grew up loving Ronaldo and still rank him as one of the games all time greats but he doesn’t identify as one of us.
