Re: Stats Thread 16/17
Many of us were skeptical of starting Alexis up front and he did struggle at first but the understanding he's formed with Walcott has been excellent. When he drops deep, Walcott is able to exploit that space up front and get into dangerous positions.
10 goals and 5 assists between them and it ain't October yet. Not bad for a failed experiment. Giroud should be nervous about his starting spot.

Re: Stats Thread 16/17
Alexis is having a stellar season overall. 5 goals and 5 assists. Might end up with a 20/20 season but that's unlikely as players drop off.
Walcott may as well break 20 goals overall.

Re: Stats Thread 16/17
Wanted to discuss this so might as well do it here.
Taking a look at our fixtures, they are very very unbalanced from Aug-Nov and Dec-May. We are going through a period where 90% of our matches are at home. That shouldn't be the case.
For example during the toughest period in the season aka December, we have Basel away, City away, Everton away followed by Bournemouth away in Jan, Swansea away and then Chelsea away, Southampton away, Liverpool Away in feb-march period. All close together.
We close the end of the season with matches against Tottenham away, United home, Stoke away and Everton home.
It's basically a cluster of easy matches together early on and the shit tricky matches during the latter half.
And we know what pressure does to Arsenal...

Confidence lads. I understand the scepticism because Arsenal have let us down on countless occasions when we've been in similar situations such as now. But let us put some positive energy out there for the universe to feed on and give back to us.

Re: Stats Thread 16/17
I have never felt this positive / stress free about our team fellas *knock on wood* . Long may this continue. For what ever reason, we seem to be getting the best out of every player who has played for us this season.
Shouts out to Kieran Gibbs, who has done his part to get back into the team too. Dude never gets his due respect I think.
Also, looking forward to seeing what Danny Welbeck would be able to add/bring in to the team. I think this system would work for him.

If Welbz can stay fit, we'd have a beast on our hands. I strongly believe that nobody has seen the best of him. He just needs to stay fit.
